2018-2019 Hackensack-Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Since the first class just begun, is it safe to assume they didn't have secondary prompts last cycle?

Lets hope none this year but that's wishful thinking 🙁
Last cycle was supposed to have one too but with the quick pace of things it got scrapped. Admissions told us this cycle
Would have one. Here’s to hoping they change their minds and push it off again

Though it probably hasn't gone that far yet, I think this school this cycle could set a new record. What's the latest school has ever sent out secondaries?

lol I don't want one. I want them to send it as late as possible so I don't have a metric **** tonne of others

just got their secondary here are the prompts

I got mine and can see the prompts. They are all 500 words:

thats roughhhhhh

Why does AMCAS thinks I want to reset my PW when I register with Seton? How did the previous posters get the prompt?

My goodness, that’s freaking tough!

Dw the secondary isn't too bad. They just made a mistake with it. They meant 500 characters instead of words.

This applicant portal is sketchy. We have to input our AMCAS user ID and AMCAS password? Why doesn't Seton have their own? Looks like a phishing email to be honest, lol.
for me, I just made a new account, they sent me a link to create a pw, used my amcas id and email to verify, created a password.
I can access my portal

it is odd that they want you to use the AAMC id and password, anyone figure out if this was intended?

It says 500 words, but when you put a response in the text box, it limits you to 500 characters.

Also, this portal is used by many medical schools. I just used the same username/password and was able to log on

Nevermind. The prompt says 500 words but is actually counting each character... ugh id much rather it be words

did they just update this?? Im still seeing 500 words not characters. I also received the email to go to the portal multiple times...

"State a professional goal/s that you wish to accomplish by pursuing a medical degree."

"Please share personal experiences that have motivated your decision to enter health care, as well as short- and long-term goals."

Hate redundant prompts on the same secondary... C'mon admissions teams!
I thought the same thing ugh

Any idea if there is any form of screening? Or idea about average stats? Wanna know my chances

Anyone else know if they screen for secondaries? Or does everyone get them?

Anybody know the cost of submission? I might have to pass based on funds.
