HOw serious is the CV/Resume business?
Its going to be a professional format but of course there's a million different ways in which one can format it so does that really matter? is there one particular convention I should stick to?
and Yes I will have to add publication references at the end

I have a feeling there will be variety. Mine is pretty long, but I worked and interned throughout college and have been out of school for several years. To be honest, I don’t even know if it uploaded properly! Just pick a format or use a resume you’ve already got. I don’t think it’ll be the make it or break it part of the app.

haha yes agreeed! Same here, also out of school a few years. Sending you positive vibes!

II earlier today!
Not sure if it is coincidence with the dates they are offering Oct 3 & 8, but they almost perfectly aligned the ITA dates.
I actually suspect the coincidence since Oct 3 was not available per the ITA.
Now if Weill could graciously provide an II to complete the coordination for NYC trip.

Congrats! complete date?

II! complete 7/23. I'm not deserving and I can't believe this is real life rn :O
also is it just me or is the calendar not showing up in the portal?
I called them and they said to check back tomorrow. Days will be shown soon 🙂

Also completely in shock

Hey y'all, current student here. Happy to answer any questions as best I can. This is a stressful time, keep your chins up.
Thank you for your help! Do you mind sharing what you think ultimately got you into Columbia? Your stats? ECs? Do you know how stats-focused Columbia is? Thanks, again!

II this morning

OOS, ORM, LM 76, Complete 7/25, Under Review 7/29
Congrats!!

I received a complete email once everything was submitted. They also send an "under review" email, or are you referring to the same thing?

Ill find out for sure later (at work rn) but I wouldnt be too worried. I dont think it was a separate email iirc. I just have a whiteboard that i kept updated with complete dates and dates of whenever my status changed. I was able to select a date in October. There were none in September when I selected

It's tough to say. One thing I do know is that the dean of admissions is super into "building" the class, meaning they want lots of people with unique and complementary things that they bring to the table. Some people in my class are very accomplished researchers, some are serious athletes, I've met lots of really interesting artists and non traditional students. Everyone has killer stats, that's a given. Everyone has been very nice and down to earth so far, so I think they do a pretty good job of sniffing out the big egos at the interview day and giving them the boot.

I guess the TLDR of this is that you should figure out what your "thing" is and don't be a jerk.

Ok for those of you asking about the under review date: I submitted 7/25 and I got an email on 7/29 for something else, so that's my bad. So I'm editing my original post. Don't worry about under review. Sorry again

Has anyone noticed that on the interview schedule it says both morning and afternoon interviews but on the information tab it only says morning interviews? Just curious if the day actually ends at 5pm for booking flights home

Isn't that because there are interviews in the morning, THEN lunch, then interviews in the afternoon? You'll go to both sets of interviews.

This year they are trying to give everyone two interviews during the day. I would book a flight planning on being there till 5 if I were you.
