2019-2020 Midwestern University, with campuses in (Glendale, Arizona) AZCOM

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's super early for the DO cycle, so I'm trying to stay patient. They always save the best for last! We'll get one eventually 🙂

Anyone know when the interview day is finished? Eyeing at plane tickets, but latest one to depart is 2:30pm.

Edit: oops. confirmation email states it. 2:30pm.

Congrats to all of the II's so far! When were you considered "complete?"

I submitted my Secondary June 29th and I got the II earlier this week. No specific date because I never got an email saying it, I only checked my portal after checking this thread and people said they had got theirs.

II this morning, first one of the cycle. LizzyM 70, OOS.

Super excited! Anyone else interviewing 8/29 want to meet up?

Does anyone know how late they send II's? I have a feeling my secondary was no good but I might just neurotic. Submitted 6/27 but my MCAT score came in a week later.

According to last year's thread, AZCOM sends out early IIs to those who have higher MCATs and GPAs, those that may be swept up by MD schools. Then in the fall, after their first few interview days, they send out more IIs. Not sure how true this is, just going off of the last thread. There's still a lot of time! Personally, I feel that not hearing anything yet is better than being pre-II waitlisted or rejected!

Yeah, the cycle is young. It’s hard, but just ride it out!

That definitely helps, thanks haha.

Going to be the longest year of my life...
We'll get there! Just keep repeating what is shown below!

It is looking like that might be true. I had 505 MCAT and 3.82 GPA and received an invitational hold 🙁 not all hope is lost though, maybe I’ll get some love later in the cycle

Does anyone know if they waitlist everyone or is that actually good news to get an email saying you have been waitlisted. I wonder if they are a school that will send out pre-interview rejections along with the waitlist emails or if they just ghost you until the end of the cycle...

I had a classmate that had an interview here with a 504 last September. I'm thinking that this is us basically not getting pre-screened. A lot of the first II from last years thread had MCAT scores in the 510 range.

Well, it's probably because I sent them an important update the day before lol. As a non-trad that messed up in college, I'll take it!

The question that asks "What is your specific interest in the osteopathic medicine program at COMP Pomona Campus", is this asking what about specifically WesternU? Cause I am interpreting it as them asking why did you apply to this campus (particularly them trying to see what makes them unique over the other campus).

If it's just what we like specifically abotu WesternU, then that's easy enough.

If it's about Pomona Campus in particular, Idk what else to write besides my interest in stuff like the campus's location.

Wrong thread.

You might have better luck here: 2019-2020 Western University of Health Sciences (Pomona, California)
