I called the commissiong coordinator who is Mr.Stokes he said he will email me with instructions but i haven't recieved the email yet.
I think he is super backed up with waiver requests right now. I called him earlier today and spoke with him briefly and am currently waiting for a call back about my status. I think all we can do is be patient and keep following up every day!

This also just happened to me! I emailed the school and was told to contact Mr. Sterling Stokes.
Does anyone know if it's too late in the cycle to get a waiver?
Where are you seeing "disqualified" or "under waiver review"? Is it just under "View My Status" -> "Current Medical Status" on the DoDMERB website or is it somewhere else?

Hey guys, in previous years people said that USUHS exhausted 2/3 of their waitlists. I was wondering if that held true for last year’s cycle as well? And, if anyone just so happens to know, how does the length of waitlists this year compare to previous years?

Yeah, I’m kind of panicking over here [emoji51]

When you say 2/3, do you mean (Army+AF)/ (All three branches), or do you mean that 2 out of 3 people on the primary waitlist will be accepted?

How's everyone doing today? I've been working from my backyard, enjoying the great weather...and trying to to think about the waitlist. I think calls are made on Thursdays, judging by post history in this thread.

Last week someone got called for the Army on April 1st which was wednesday 🙂 I've also dedicated time trying to identify trends. Now I gotta find out if he makes the calls before or after lunch lol

If anyone is waiting to hear about status of their medical waiver, keep following up! I submitted additional paperwork last week and emailed Mr. Stokes to follow up today and he told me I got approved.

Ok the neurotic content on this page is keeping me totally sane. And I’m being 1,000% serious. I love it, looking forward to tomorrow. Got an important call earlier this week while running (not USUHS-related) and waited until I got home to call back. Can confidently say if I had seen a Bethesda area code, I would’ve picked up mid-stride.

Will issues with security prevent you from getting off the waitlist? I want to email Ms. Tameka to confirm that I’m all set but A) I don’t know if that’s necessary bc I wasn’t told about any issues during my interview and B) I don’t have her email. I tried calling her but I assume they’re all out of the office right now.
If you didn't called on interview day to resolve any security issues at their office, my understanding is that you're just good as someone who has already received an acceptance. I spoke to Ms. Tameka back in November and asked the same question and that's more or less what she told me. The security stuff we filled out before interview day is a preliminary step in the overall security process. I think you're good.

This happened to me too! I received an email from Mr. Stokes yesterday stating that I need to submit a waiver request. Does anyone have any idea how quickly they go through the waivers?

It all depends on what the waiver is for. Some may be more complicated than others, thus will take longer.

Question for the group. I sent a letter of intent earlier in the week directly to Captain Liotta. I included a couple updates and all the other letter of intent items, but I never received a reply. Has anyone else been in this situation?

That happened to me too. I waited like 1.5-2 weeks and then forwarded it to my admissions counselor who replied that it would be added to my file.

This wait has been excruciating. Truly feels like we are in a form of purgatory. Hopeful for good news for us all in the NEAR future.

The man's a navy capt and works at hospital as radiology attending.
Send it to admissions counselor.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll send it along to my admissions counselor as well to make sure it gets added to my file.

Yeah-- I don't mean that like he wouldn't care to receive it. Not at all. What I mean is that he's busy, gets tons of emails and I'd hate for your letter to be lost this way.

Okay, all. I’m starting to crack. I need some advice. Here’s the situation (forgive me if it’s a faux pas to talk numbers):
Nontranditional student here- have my master’s in rehab science (been an occupational therapist for 9 years now, 6 years AD Navy).
Undergrad GPA: 4.0
Grad school GPA: 3.9
Prereq GPA: 4.0
MCAT: 505
Currently waitlisted for USUHS and accepted to my other med schools. Due to having a family and my desire to continue to serve, USUHS is by far and away my top choice.

My question is should I start studying for the MCAT again now for next year’s cycle (I dress the thought)? The MCAT score really seems to be the only semi-weak link to my package. I appreciate any insight you may have.

I think there is a very good chance you get off the Navy waitlist with those stats to be honest. Average for USUHS is 509 for the MCAT which isn't that far off.

Would you rather apply to USUHS this coming cycle then matriculate at one of your civilian acceptances?
