Any other in-state / Memphians just hanging around waiting on that II... :')
Chatted with a current student the other day and said they really do take all the time they can get, so don't fret and give up hope. I assume there a lot of us still in this boat!! Hope this offers a little positivity today
Yes! ugh. so glad to know there are others. completed secondary around 10/7. just a ball of nerves. you too??

got the acceptance call!!!! My first!!
I received the survey via email yesterday around 5pm and was scrolling this thread and my heart sank seeing that everyone got phone calls and I hadn’t yet, when my phone rang and it was from Memphis. Congrats to anyone else accepted and to those still waiting, it will come!!!!!
(Secondary submitted 8/27, interview 10/28. In-state)

Anyone here still waiting on a secondary? Do they let you know if you WON’T be receiving a secondary? I’m OOS...

Sorry if this makes me impatient, but for those who’ve been accepted—how long after the survey email and/or phone call did you get the acceptance letter in the mail?

I feel like I won’t fully believe I’m in until I’m physically holding the letter in my hands and reading it with my own eyes. Maybe I dreamed the phone call lmaooo

I got the call on Tuesday and the letter today 🙂

anyone else interviewing next week? Any tips? this is my first (only??) interview!
Everyone was very nice on my interview day and did everything to make us feel comfortable! Bring a pair of comfy shoes if yours aren’t, it’s a lot of walking since you do 2 tours. Also, they definitely asked me more difficult questions at UT than they had at other places. I’d say be prepared for some trickier questions (but nothing ridiculous)!

Did y’all have any luck getting a II by sending an update letter?

Should I be worried?
I have 500+ hours clinical experience and 500+ hours research. LizzyM is only 69. Starting to get worried that I haven't heard from Tennessee as one of my instate schools. Does anyone know roughly how many acceptances Tennessee has extended/ how many they normally extend?
For 750 applications sent in IS, 450 were interviewed. And of that, 267 offers of acceptance were given. They're know for being slow and I would not be worried at this point rn. When did you send in your secondary?

Edit: this info was given from their website as well as some info given in the interview packet. Also, the acceptance number given does not show how many offers were IS vs. OOS

Was this for last year?

Yes this was for the incoming class of 2023

I meant that I would expect for early January invites to be sent out before the end of 2019, so presumably this week or next week. Unless they just plan to send those invites on 1/2 or 1/3 which seems a little late.

Ohhh I see what you're saying. That's entirely possible. They'll be working up until the 23rd so it's entirely possible I'd think

Does anyone know if they would take transcripts from this past fall semester/ notice a strong upward trend?

Nelson Strother is very receptive of post-II updates. Not sure of pre-II updates though. Doesn't hurt to try and see

Adding on to this, I went and met with him (since I work across the street) pre-II, and he let me send him an update to my file without ever getting a secondary. I did have a unique situation that worked in my favor, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

FYI : Interviewed this week. Was told there is an admissions committee meeting Friday. And that I should receive a letter next week.
Do they send letters to everyone that interviewed? Very impressed with the school and the interviews were enjoyable! Let the waiting game begin (again).

Does anyone know how late they still send out secondaries? Haven't received one yet but still holding out hope

+1 was told they made our decisions on the 6th of December. And decisions would be sent out tomorrow. Interviewed late November
