This also happened to me, has this resolved for anyone yet?

That's weird. I got an email saying I am complete and my app also says the same thing; screenshot below:

Hello all, do you think its worth applying to the school as an OOS?

Anyone else still not marked complete? I submitted 7/15 and they have everything from me, including the optional CASPer. I emailed them and they said it was just a tech issue, but it would be nice to know its not just me

I submitted 7/23 and everything is marked complete. Also received an email too.

Got an email this morning saying that the vendor had issues with payments going through and I am one of the people who had to resubmit payment....very irritated about this and now hoping this doesn’t put me as complete today versus 7/13 when I originally submitted. I am so fed up with all of the technical issues this year

Got the same email

I thought the email was good news. Bummer

+1, totally agree about the complete date!

The way I understood the email, everyone has to re-do the payment. So I don’t think it puts any of us at a disadvantage.

Since the email this morning, does anyone's status show as "Application Complete" but the application fee as "Not been Paid"? If so how do you re-do the payment? (I can't seem to find it anywhere).

I went back into the secondary application under fee payment. The page was complete but there were no confirmation details in any of the boxes. I redid the payment there.
Then I resubmitted my secondary on the next page just to be sure.

Awesome- thanks so much!

Hi friends,
I know it's better to be straight to the point and not put fluff but I'm realizing that I'm below the word count for all prompts. Is that okay?

I just successfully re-submitted my payment only under "Application Fee" without re-submitting the entire app.... so I don't think the original date submitted for the application had to change.....
Would reach out to the school for those of you who re-submitted your entire app and had your submission date change to today!!

+1, only had to re-submit payment!

I only resubmitted the payment as well. But it gives me the option to submit the application again now. Does this mean that it is not submitted?

mine does too, but the status page still says my application was submitted on the date I originally submitted... so i'm just going to pay the fee and leave it be!

I think you may have to resubmit the entire application because I emailed them yesterday when I noticed my application status said payment was incomplete. They responded this morning with the same standard email but also this line at the end:

"Once your payment is submitted, your application will show as UNDER REVIEW again.

If you check your bank records you will find that money was never removed from your account.

You will need to go back into your application and 1. Pay the fee and 2. Submit your application.

Thank you,

Jody"

I submitted the application fee again and also pressed submit. Afterward, I also called Central Michigan to ask if they received my fee, see my secondary application as complete and still see my original date of submission (rather than the delayed date when my fee was paid). The staff was very helpful and confirmed everything was good to go.

Did I overdo it? Maybe (likely yes), but given the twist and challenges we are facing, I figured an additional phone call will be appropriate. Rather be safe than sorry 🙂 Just my .02.

did anybody take the CASPer test? is it required for CMU cuz it doesn't say on MSAR but on the CASPer website, it has CMU listed, so it's probably optional. I just wanna know if it would look more favorable to actually take it or if it doesn't matter

For CMU's secondary, you need to check off a box to acknowledge that you understand CMU "strongly recommends" you take CASPer. They don't explicitly say you need CASPer, but at the same time, if they don't need it, it would seem odd for CMU to have a separate page for you to sign off and understand their CASPer preferences. I took the CASPer, as a few of my target schools need it.

For CMU's secondary, there's a prompt to mention what we have been doing since the previous cycle (supp application), then in the biographic data section, it asks about what we've done since degree completion. I'm not sure how to keep these answers different? The points mentioned in one will be the same as the other. It will also be repeated because i mention these points in my primary.

any tips? did yall keep it the same?

because I have taken multiple gap years, the prompt about what i have done since degree completion was a summary of all my post-graduate activities (i.e., employment, post-bacc, graduate school, etc.)

for the prompt about what i have been doing since the previous cycle, i specifically focused on what activities and improvements there have been since my last application.

i hope that helps!

Thank you for your response! For the summary, did you put that in point form or did you do complete sentences? I noticed it was the one prompt without a word limit.

Did anyone who needed to re-do their payment get a confirmation email about being complete afterwards?

no I never got another confirmation email, but my app says "Your application is ready." So I assumed it meant it was still good to go and since confirmation email already sent prior to re-payment the system did not send another one.

Im thinking the same

Has anyone's status changed besides your application is ready on your portal? Mine hasn't I'm just curious if it updates or not

Do they screen here before sending a secondary? Just saw on their website that "selected applicants" are invited to complete a secondary....

Honestly, the first question was three questions in one. To ensure I answered them all, I treated them as individual questions which is closer to 300 words each
1. Why CMU
2. How did COVID-19 affect your motivation
3. Your background/fit
how did you talk about COVID affecting your motivation? For me it made me want to go into medicine even more so but idk how to touch up on this more without sounding redundant....

Did it make you want to study public health(maybe MD/MPH)? Take on a leadership/policy role to help prevent or mitigate future outbreaks? Work in health delivery systems (like virtual appointments)? Just some ideas

Appreciate this, friend! I like this direction!

Hey all, I am a current M1 here at CMED and I am more than willing to answer as many questions as I can! We are in our third week of classes so, as you can imagine, we are pretty busy but I will try to get back to you all as soon as possible. Good luck with your applications! You have made it this far, keep the faith, and you all will make it!

Congrats on getting accepted and thank you for offering your support!

Same here! Hope it's not an error :dead:

Ok glad I'm not the only one. I was worried I got Mayo'd or something. Maybe it'll populate soon, since they said they recommend scheduling it within 2 weeks of receiving the email.
