My low stat insecurities are coming through, haha

Yeah, same. I really poured my heart and soul into the secondaries though, and I think I have a really strong personal statement, so I guess we'll see. I like to think after the Mayo fiasco, schools would double check to make sure they're not erroneously sending updates because it's such a huge headache for them.

Yeah, same here - I'm super nontrad and wrote from the heart, too.

Are you going to email them or wait?

I just emailed admissions (super super nice BTW). She asked for screenshots, and she said she'll get the developers working to fix it right away. So I'm hopeful it's not a mistake?

@myusernameisusername, I received my secondary on 7/10 and submitted it on 7/13. MCAT score was released 7/7, so they've had that from the beginning.

I see the interview tab but it keeps taking me back to the login page when I click on it. There's also subpages for like driving directions, etc. which I assume aren't for this cycle

Do all II's go out at the same time or is there a chance they could be scattered throughout the day?

I’d say there’s a good chance they send them all at once, but who knows

i just got verified from amcas (jchrist super long), does anyone know what the secondary screen is like for cmich? I don't want to just apply and be screened out 🙁

Are you pinched for cash? Throw your app their way, who the hell knows? You might get an II and eventually the A. Don't lose hope!

i mean not really, but my app doesn't really have the stats for an MD school to begin with, and last cycle I applied to too many schools, and am trying to play it better this year.

I say if you really resonate with the school's mission and it is a school you can see yourself at, then go for it! My stats are not MD either (3.51 cGPA, 3.43sGPA, 507 MCAT) and I got an interview here. You honestly don't know until you try, so might as well shoot your shot! Good luck

We're stat twins and I also got an interview invite. 🙂

So +1 for that person shooting their shot with the app.

According to last year's thread, CMU doesn't look at GPA/MCAT prior to sending II's -can anyone confirm this?

It’s not that they don’t look at GPA/MCAT, it’s just looked at after reviewing other aspects of your app and is also not weighed nearly close to other aspects of your app

Okay that makes me feel better! My GPA is, by far, the biggest weakness of my application and I was nervous that after interviewing me, they'd look at it and go "oops nevermind."

You’re good! Congrats on the II !!

May I ask what your MCAT was? I have a high GPA/lower MCAT and hoping for an II from here as well

509 MCAT, I'm OOS so I think 2 points above their OOS median according to MSAR IIRC(?)

I was also thrilled to see their interview days in the past have been low-stress and the MMI questions didn't come across designed to trip you up. I've had a lot of anxiety during my prep sessions that my mock interviewers have picked up on (interestingly interviews cause me tons of anxiety but life and death situations don't) so I'm worried that will taint my interview.

I am certain you will do great. Receiving an interview is an indication that you have what it takes to be a med student (and future doc). Not a fluke. Stay calm and be yourself, it’ll all work out, friend!

Please, whenever you can, would you be able to confirm that a 507 is their median MCAT? Would be really appreciated. Thank you!!!

Thank you!

Their Median OOS MCAT is 507, Median IS MCAT is 510

Also, has anyone received more information about what we should expect on interview day? The only info I see in emails is the same that's on the interview tab, but it seems only applicable to typical in-person/on-campus interviews?

just got an email outlining this. However, I'm confused where the MMI portion will be? Will it be on our portal?

I got the email too. Read it quickly since I'm at work, I'll take a better look at it later.
