Accepted 10:03 today
Congratulations!! When did you interview??Accepted 10:03 today
In December! It was the last interview date of the year I think.Congratulations!! When did you interview??
Not a student but I live in a similar small midwest town and bounced between Midwest and the south.Accepted today!!
I’m from Phoenix, Arizona so I’m a little intimidated by the idea of moving to such a small town, especially one with radically different weather than what I’m used to. Did any current students deal with a similar move and have any words of wisdom?
Congratulations! One of my M1 classmates actually moved here from Arizona. The M1 class may be holding some panels in the future so you'll most likely have an opportunity to ask questions then.Accepted today!!

Haven't heard anything from here yet... any hope left for someone with 64 LM?
Thank you so much!My LM is a bit lower than yours and I'm accepted here, so yes!!! They do review applications very holistically.
Accepted today!!

It’s not too far from larger college towns like East Lansing (50 mins) /Ann Arbor (1 hour 45 mins), and towns with decently large downtowns like Midland and Saginaw. I’m from the Metro-Detroit area and even after my 23 years living here my whole life I still am not fully used to the weather but you learn to deal with it. Just make sure you get some nice warm coats, gloves, and hats for the winters. Luckily the winters haven’t been as bad as usual these past few years, nothing like the winters I remember in middle school and high school where the temps would regularly drop below 0. I’ll be attending CMU in the fall as well, if you need any specific advice or help acclimating to the area here I’d be more than happy to help!Accepted today!!

For real, these last winters have been nothing. I remember in January 2014 and 2015 at MSU, windchill was like -16, and exposed skin for 10 minutes was a windchill risk. On a campus that basically requires 20-minute walks. That morning, I had my coat over my face and had frost on the inside of my coat. It’s not too far from larger college towns like East Lansing (50 mins) /Ann Arbor (1 hour 45 mins), and towns with decently large downtowns like Midland and Saginaw. +1I interviewed 11/13 and still haven’t heard anything even regarding a waitlist. Anyone else in the same boat?
Hey ofc! IS, MCAT 511, GPA 3.95.Congrats! 🙂 Do you mind sharing your complete date and IS/OOS?
Thank you sm!It's MMI, so just focus on being able to have a conversation. Remember to look broadly before looking deeper, you'll have a time frame that makes you look wider because you'll get caught up going deep on one point. Your MMI stations auto-load one after the other, so you're just sitting there.
The group interview is chill. Plenty of time for everyone to talk.
1/15 and still haven’t heard a peepHas anyone from 1/29/21 interview day heard from the admission committee?
11/13 and nothing lol1/15 and still haven’t heard a peep
As other people said, SDN is not representative of the entire application pool, but for some reason, they seem to have only sent out decisions to those that interviewed in September and December. Me and other people that interviewed in October still haven't heard a word. Wonder what's going on there.11/13 and nothing lol
Wish I did. I interviewed back on 9/11 and heard back about a waitlist a month ago and that was the first communication since interviewingDoes anyone have anyyyy insight as to when people who interviewed in 2020 that haven't heard back yet could hear? I think it seems like it'll be mostly waitlists but finding out something would be better than nothing!
I'm not 100% sure, but last cycle they went until about mid-March.does anyone know how long they interview til? I sent all of my updates (complete since sept), but I was just curious if I should still hold hope for receiving a II from them...
i'm assuming they sent II until Feb?I'm not 100% sure, but last cycle they went until about mid-March.
I would think they could be sent up until the day before the last interview dayi'm assuming they sent II until Feb?
What I meant was they sent out II up until mid-march I believe. I don't exactly remember when they stopped sending out II last cycle, but it was around late-february to mid-march.I would think they could be sent up until the day before the last interview day
I haven't heard anything - interviewed in October as wellPeople who interviewed from Oct... have you heard back yet? my confidence fades every passing day 😳 considering it's been 4 months-- it's pretty low now
Yo, join the October club. I wouldn't let your confidence go to waste yet, though. Even though sdn is not representative of the rest of the applicant pool, you'd think that there would be more acceptances for Oct and Nov, especially considering the amount for Sept./Dec. There aren't even decisions for us yet.People who interviewed from Oct... have you heard back yet? my confidence fades every passing day 😳 considering it's been 4 months-- it's pretty low now
Interviewed November 13th... Im still waiting...Has anyone from 1/29/21 interview day heard from the admission committee?
I think it'd be wise to first send an update letter (if you have a substantial update), or just update them on new grades from the past semester if you have some. Letters of intent are really just Hail Mary's and they're more useful as it gets close to the end of the cycle. When is the right time to send a letter of intent? At this point, even if all remaining schools gave me an A, I would want to go here, so I'm trying to time this properly. I interviewed in December, and I haven't heard anything since (which seems to be pretty normal). Should I wait a sec or not?
Rosiris why are we the same person, I did 19 secondaries, 2 interviews, 1 waitlist, 12 pre II Rs, and still waiting on central! When is the right time to send a letter of intent? I'll do my best to get an A for both of us, then!Rosiris why are we the same person, I did 19 secondaries, 2 interviews, 1 waitlist, 12 pre II Rs, and still waiting on central!
Is CMU participating in it?Anyone think CYMS going live Friday will result in more decisions being released sometime soon?
Do they send these emails to everyone? I interviewed on 1/29 and I have not heard anything! These road to matriculation emails will be the death of me 😭😭😭
You should be getting the road to matriculation emails; they send them out to everyone that had an interview. I would double check with the admissions office!Do they send these emails to everyone? I interviewed on 1/29 and I have not heard anything!
What is CYMS?Is CMU participating in it?
Not sure, I kinda just assumed all schools were. Did see on CMU's website they want a response within 2 weeks though. CYMS is Choose your medical School through AAMCIs CMU participating in it?
+1Complete Since August and nothing. No Pre-II R nor an II... so soft R?
Don't give up hope; it isn't over until the fat lady sings. Send updates, letters of intent, interact with admissions, etc. Show that you care about the school and that might give you the edge. If you haven't gotten an R yet, that means that you're still in consideration.
