Does anyone know any reapplicants who got an interview last time but didn’t this time? Like I had an interview last March and was waitlisted till the last day. I Got a complete email in Late august and still haven’t heard anything back. Should I be panicking yet?

I mean, I haven't gotten an interview yet but there's still time. I interviewed in November last year and got waitlisted.

I'm on the same boat - I was interviewed in December and also was waitlisted until the last day.... they are my first choice. It was a LONG cycle.

I would assume that if you made some improvements to your application and expressed your adamant interest in the school, you're in good shape to get another interview. I would hope they consider this a benefit/positive to reviewing you again.

did some people get complete emails? the last email I received confirmed that I did not have to pay the secondary fee (FAP) and said "You may not hear back regarding the status of your application until after April 30, 2021."
I didn't receive a complete either, but I'm not too worried.

That’s what I got too! I assume this is their complete message?

This is the complete email I got right before interview invite (literally one minute before):

"Thank you for your interest in the Florida State University College of Medicine.

This is to notify you that your application for admission to the FSU COM is now complete and will be forwarded for review by the Office of Admissions.

We will contact you by email if you are selected for an interview. FSU will be conducting interviews every Monday and Friday through the end of April. Decisions are based on the strength of the application, not the date in which the application is received. You may not hear back regarding the status of your application until after April 30, 2020.

While participating in the admissions process at the Florida State University College of Medicine, you may familiarize yourself with the medical school through our website, www.med.fsu.edu. Additionally, the Admissions Office may be reached via e-mail at [email protected]. (NOTE: Correspondence concerning applications, including updates to applications, must be sent via e-mail. For privacy reasons, application updates WILL NOT be provided via telephone.)"
Yeah I didn’t get this although I paused for my secondary in July like wtf and I’m not missing any documents

So, here's my assumption. FSU essentially only takes FL residents. Most FL applicants apply to most FL schools, and we have quite a few. So, if I were FSU, I would probably wait until all the other higher-stats FL schools started filling seats, so that I wouldn't have to waste interview time with someone who's going to choose UF or UMiami based on prestige or location or whatever. FL is big. To someone from South Florida, the panhandle is as far as NYC is from Detroit. A lot of our parents are also planning to retire here, while others are clawing to get out, so FSU applicants probably have a lot to consider concerning where they attend. Just an anecdotal speculation and based on no data whatsoever. But moral is, students who apply to FSU probably have a lot of factors governing where they attend and FSU benefits by waiting it out. That all being said, they're probably the most badass of all the FL schools. Again - anecdotal - all my fun friends are 'noles.
You're spot on; they heavily favor FL residents. FSUCOM was established with a mission to churn out FL doctors who want to stay in-state/come back to FL, post-residency. FSU is a relatively inexpensive medical school due to heavy FL tax-payer subsidization, thus, they give preference to FL residents.

so this is my dream MD school but I haven't heard anything since being complete in August .... am I done lol
I'm in the same boat as you except complete at the beginning of September. Don't fret, this is early in their cycle seeing as regular decision interview invites seem to have just started going out in the last week or two!

Do we think interviews are being sent out on a weekly basis since that one person said they are only scheduling out a week or so in advance?

It kind of seems like they are moving through interviews chronologically. I think the only people who have had offers so far were complete in July. I was complete 9/10, so I'm a little nervous about it too 🙁
I'm right there with ya as an early September applicant. I continuously refresh my email and this page throughout my workday lol

I think the turn around after you interview with FSU is amazing. The committee meets on Tuesday to score how you did on your interview. The following Tuesday they make a decision to accept, waitlist, or reject. Your decision email should come within the next week or so. Theoretically speaking after you interview you will find out between 3-4 weeks what your outcome is. I can not emphasize how amazing this adcom is considering some schools take like 6-12 weeks for decisions.

Is there anyway you can send FSU an update if you haven’t gotten an interview yet? Like to show you’re still interested or would that annoy them

If you have a significant update that changes your application some I think it's fine. If not, I wouldn't do it.

Like in the last cycle and this one I wrote that my lab’s paper was submitted for publishing. But like it got published in Nature a few weeks ago. Is that a big change?

did you mention the paper in any way in your primary or secondary? if so, i think updating that it's actually been published could help, but they already know about it, so not sure how much more it would add to your application? it could come up in an interview though (like the progress you've made, in which case you could mention that it's now officially published), if you haven't brought it up yet, I def think it's a great accomplishment worth updating them about!

Does anyone know how the interview is formatted? I haven't gotten an interview yet but am curious to know if these admissions team asks typical questions like most schools or more ethical, critical scenario types?

It’s just a conversational interview, nothing bad. Def do not stress about it. Be yourself and show your passion for wanting to be a Nole and you will be more than fine.

Have you heard anything back yet? I was just curious if they responded and what they said. I am in a similar situation.
I emailed at the beginning of September and someone replied that my application was complete. Haven't heard anything since. You may not have heard because I imagine they are very busy right now given my (very optimistic) view that they seem to not have given out many IIs.
