It is November, interview season goes through Feb. Thats over 3 months! Its not over until its over.

Loyola only sends pre-interview rejections at the very end of the cycle! But they get a large # of apps so it takes them awhile to review. I think they’re just now getting to beginning of august apps. I was complete mid aug and nothing yet!

to add to this, I attended an info session last week and they said they've received way more apps this cycle than they have previously! can't remember the exact number but I think she said 16-17k apps

short vent: taking two months for any kind of decision post-interview is bs and makes me feel not wanted. sat by my phone yesterday only to get butt dialed by my dad

I feel you, especially when you’re like me snd have only gotten two interview invites and already deferred by one school. It will just feel like weight lifted off my shoulders if I get that acceptance from Loyola

Im sorry you feel that way. The process can be very frustrating. I personally interviewed last year on October 23rd and heard back in JANUARY. But let me tell you, the wait is worth it. And once you are accepted, you will feel very very wanted and welcomed.

Also can confirm many a Monday and Tuesday went on in between were I felt nauseous at work from the nerves and din't do anything. But man getting that phone call is life changing I promise!

Do decisions tend to come out on Mondays and Tuesdays? Or am I missing something else haha

Yeah, I'm a little confused as well what you mean by the second bit there

Sure
"sat by my phone yesterday only to get butt dialed by my dad" You said this. And I am saying I also sat by my phone many a Monday and Tuesday in between interviewing and getting the call. Those days were the worst, but imagine how good it felt to finally get that 708 phone call.

Currently on Continued Consideration. I have an update that I am planning to upload through the portal, as well as a new Letter of Rec from the director of an org that I have been volunteering at. Should I upload a PDF of this letter through the portal? Or is this not an acceptable form of submission? Thanks in advance for any input!

this is post interview i assume?

I would suggest emailing the admissions office about the recommendation letter before submitting it yourself. I assume a confidential letter directly from the recommender themselves would look better than you submitting a copy from them. I don’t have any experience with this but I’m guessing asking them directly would be the best course of action.
If you don’t hear back you can always submit it through the portal as you planned.

I did this last cycle, and yeah, you def shouldn't handle the letter yourself. You need the letter writer to upload it to AAMC, but then you run into the problem of it affecting your queue with other schools, unless you can designate it specifically for Loyola. I don't think a letter is gonna affect a final decision, especially an accessory one like this. Simply talking about your volunteering in the update would be sufficient. Your app, your call tho

anyone have any info abt the continued consideration?? this is my top choice and I know nothing abt the CC /:
hey, I also do not know a lot but this thread mentioned previously that there is decent movement from CC and last year the first movement happened in Decemeber! we're in a similar spot, good luck to you!!

Same boat as you! So to my understanding (from what faculty said during my interview) is that your application keeps getting reviewed during their weekly meetings until they ultimately make a decision. Which seems a lot better than traditional waitlists, where you are put on a ranked list and spots are given when people defer their acceptances to that school. So it seems like people on CC have a much higher chance of getting accepted than a traditional waitlist. Keep your hopes up and send them update letters to show that you're interested. If it's truly your top choice definitely send a letter of intent.

Anyone else submit their secondary mid August and still waiting to hear about an II? LM score 67.1, non-traditional, but with significant jesuit background. Just curious. Good luck everyone and congrats to all those who have been accepted already!
Same here. Mid-August.

Same, does it say on your portal though that you've been initially reviewed?

Can anyone speak to the Jesuit mission of the school? Are all faiths (or lack of faith) welcomed? Thank you.
From my interview day, they appeared very open to students of all faiths. If I recall correctly, they have certain events for people of all faiths to gather and socialize. Campus Ministry seems very kind and helps students upkeep their mental wellbeing.
