I got an II with similar stats as well, 509, 3.5, 2500 clinical hours. They must prioritize clinical hours once GPA and MCAT cut-offs are met
509/3.65 with 4.0 SMP, only about 400 clinical hours and 2000 nonclinical volunteer
I was complete in June and haven't heard anything yet.

OOS II Waitlist this morning, MCAT is just a smidge below their 507 that everyone is talking about.

+1 to the waitlist. 506 MCAT... bummed because idk how likely it is to come off the waitlist and receive an interview

Complete 07/15 513 3.6 3000+ clinical and no updates what the ...

I submitted my secondary just two days ago and was waitlisted for an interview? I don't know what this means.

This might be a stupid question but I can't find an answer on their portal.. what time zone will the interview be conducted in? If their email states 7:15am is it safe to assume their time?

edit: I'm on the east coast so it is quite the difference

My confirmation email for my interview says Arizona standard time!! I'm on the east coast too 🙂

they want to get a feel for the rest of the application pool. They pull from the waitlist in January/February according to people earlier in the thread/ last year's thread

Ah darn, so I'll have to wait until then for an interview if I get taken off the waitlist. Thanks!

So sorry to hear that🙁 was gpa higher than 3.5?

My science gpa is, my cumulative gpa is lower because I’m a non traditional student who had to do a DIY post back. I do have thousands of clinical hours though as a social worker with a 4.0 in my masters. I’m not upset by this cause CCOM is within driving distance from me and I haven’t heard anything yet there and I have an interview for my state MD school in a week and a half.

Also keep in mind for those interview wait listed like me that we’ll likely get interviews later in the cycle after they give them to their top choices. Many of the top choices they interview early will end up picking different schools as their applications afford them the option of choice to multiple schools, some of them end up picking MD or others pick places closer to home etc. Being interview waitlisted simply means you’re good enough for one you just aren’t the best and at least personally I think that’s great news, especially since we all start off rejected when we apply and should assume we are rejected until told otherwise.

I was complete 8/6.

Thanks for all the insight! I am curious though, do you know when we would hear back for an interview if we were waitlisted for an interview?

I’m just going based off of last years thread that said people were pulled off interview waitlist around January/February. Although Covid can change everything so really I wouldn’t give it much thought since we have no control over the process regardless.

I also received the invite in my portal, but haven't gotten the email yet. Not sure how long it's been there..

Also received an email letting me know I was WL for an interview. Just submitted my secondary Monday.

Completed on 14th, so a day ahead of you. At this point I think no news is better than bad news!

Complete 8/11, got an II waitlist today 8/28 (at 1 in the morning? haha).

Got the R at 4 am this morning. While I’m not surprised, it still stings a little bit. I just submitted my secondary for them last week.

Complete 7/14, and WL at 4 am

The actual interview is 45 mins, at least that's what I am scheduled for, but the whole thing includes an intro and a panel with students etc and lasts like 6-7 hours. You are allowed to log off in the middle when other people are interviewing. My interview is this upcoming Monday so I can keep you updated once I'm done
