OOS. MCAT 509 overall GPA 3.8 sGPA 3.7. I believe I was complete around 7/3

Anyone who used the Fee Waiver, how did you complete the secondary? As long as all items on the checklist are checked, am I complete?
 
For those of you who were accepted, were you accepted to one campus, or do you choose later on?

I am a current OMS 1 and used SDN all the time when I was applying. If anyone has any questions about the application process or Nova, feel free to message me and I’ll try my best to answer! I was in the exact same place a year ago, so I know how stressful this time can be.

Unless you elected a campus on the primary application. I was assigned a campus and my spot is held there until after the first deposit deadline. If you put "no preference" on the primary then you get to choose when you submit the deposit. Also they said for those of us that elected a campus on the primary you can make a single switch if seats are open, however, you need to submit both deposits first.
 
I am a bit confused. I was accepted last week and been receiving some emails. Would another accepted student mind sending me a quick message so I can get some clarification on what I need to do! Thanks in advance

Hi,
I choose the Tampa campus because I was raised in the area. But honestly you can’t go wrong with either because Tampa and Ft Lauderdale are both great places to live. The Tampa campus is on the water though and is brand new which in my opinion is a plus!

I see! Would you say besides the new amenities that the Tampa campus has, is there anything that really differentiates the two campuses from each other? Or its pretty similar in opportunities etc.

I believe everything is pretty similar academic wise because they have to make it fair between campuses. I think Davie does have more clubs but there are still plenty of clubs at the Tampa campus you can choose from. In my opinion the main difference is just location and if you want to live in south Florida or the Bay Area. The Tampa campus is also much smaller and does not have an undergraduate institution attached to it.

I had to pay the secondary fee. I emailed them about it in July and they said the fee would be refunded to only those granted the AACOMAS fee waiver AND offered an II.
Right after my interview with them last week, they sent out a fee waiver request form.

I got a call from them and was so excited but it was a call to tell me my app is under review. Is this normal?

I never got that call and I submitted over a month ago, do they always call?
 
Any M3 or above able to speak on how rotations work at this school? How plentiful are spots? Is it a lotto? Do you have to set up your own rotations?
 
Received the call from them saying my application is being reviewed on 8/4 and haven't heard back yet. Anyone else on the same boat?
 
Do you guys know when they send out zoom links for interviews? 🙂

It is definitely not too late! They sent out interview invites last cycle until May I believe and they interviewed all the way till late May. A lot of people get accepted and don’t interview until spring. It is still very early in the cycle.

Today 1 faculty member said they conduct 1,000, another said 800, and the Dean said around 700 which was kind of confusing to me...but good luck to everyone that interviewed or has yet to interview! Super laid back, I really enjoyed the day.

i interviewed 9/3 and they said they were meeting again at the end of september to discuss interviewees, then the dean has to approve the acceptances. so my guess is that u just missed the cut off for the august meeting and you and others that interviewed early to mid september may hear back late september or early october
 
For those of you that received an II, how long did it take from the moment your application was complete to the receipt of the II? When you received the call saying your app was complete, that included having the MCAT score posted in the app, right? I called a few weeks ago because they still hadn't received my MCAT and they said the MCAT score was not a requirement for them to review your app, but I'm assuming it is for an II.:shrug:

It took me about 3 weeks between the complete phone call and II. I did have my MCAT scores in
 
Anyone know when more interviews will go out? I was complete 8/27 keeping my fingers crossed!!!
 
For those who got accepted, have you finished your degree already? I’m wondering if they send acceptance to students finishing their prerequisites. Thanks!

completed on 7/23, and I'm still sitting pretty in the "under review" stage. does anyone know if NOVA is doing the "you're qualified, but we're gonna save you for later in the cycle" situation?

in the same situation..... Complete 7/24 and its been radio silence for me......I wonder if they're doing that as well....
 
You guys mind sharing your stats? Mine was completed on 8/27 with the call. My sGPA 3.6, GPA 3.7 with 505. I am missing my last prof letter but they told me they will review and try to get the letter in as soon as possible. I wonder if they are looking at higher stats in the 510+ before people like me....
 
did anyone get a complete email? I submitted all my stuff but Im not sure if im complete or not?
