How are we supposed to fill out the Letters of Recommendation section on their additional questions? I have all my letters stored on interfolio so would I just use interfolio's email address for each letter? I have all my letters uploaded into aacomas already
 
File Complete today 8-4-20; submitted secondary 7-1-20 🙂
 
I saw that RVU is mostly for primary care...if we want to go into another specialty is it worth applying? or do they really only focus on primary care

Going into another specialty is going to depend on your performance and how competitive the specialty is, regardless of school (unless it's one with prestige). They have great match rates. Here is the full match list. Residency Specialties and Locations - Rocky Vista University
 
I got my file completed on 7/27 but I noticed today my recommendation of choice (LOR) was completed today. Did anyone notice this?

Notified at 10 PM PST through email.
from what I saw, it started on August 18 and the next date I saw was August 19th.
I really didn't have time to look at the others (bc i wanted to schedule it fast lol) but on the 18th and 19th, they held 2 times, 10 AM and 11 AM.
 
II this morning via email! Submitted secondary on 7/1, FILEC on 7/27. Lizzy M ~70. Their email mentions their selectivity, so it may be a slow trickle this year.

In the initial email there is this tidbit “Please note that we carefully screen each completed file and only invite those candidates who appear to be a good fit for our program.”
In the follow up email after scheduling there is this one “Therefore, we are very selective of who we bring in to interview. Last year we accepted approximately 80 % of the candidates we interviewed.”
 
Is the timeline for acceptance and commit to enroll the same with DO as it is with MD, i.e. you have until April to decide which school you will be attending?

Thank you!! Sorry for the late reply; I have been checking my portal for my file to be complete. They do not email when it is done. Hoping interview invites start coming soon!!

I received an interview invite yesterday and everything seems to assume the only option is an online virtual interview
 
Just got an II last night (at 11 p.m. for some reason... lol). Looks like they're doing online only, in case anyone was curious. They're also hosting an Admissions Q&A and a Student Ambassador Chat on 8/21, also online.
 
Out of curiosity, are they sending II's without an MCAT? Has anyone who received an II still awaiting MCAT results?
 
Does anyone know if they accept MCAT scores from 2017? (January, specifically)

Unfortunately, it looks like the oldest MCAT they will consider is January 2018 (according to the Choose DO Explorer). Sorry!

According to their emails and previous years, it’s a 2 person interview. They’ll give you the bios of the people interviewing you and it’s really conversational.

In case anyone was wondering, I received an email from admissions this morning stating that although my MCAT score is no longer valid, they're still reviewing applications in spite of this because of the pandemic.

How long did it take you to go from applicant to complete?

I have an invalid MCAT that automatically transferred to my app from 2016. I am retaking the mcat soon though.

I actually haven't submitted the application for their program yet! I was verified via AACOMAS back in June.

Oh, gotcha. I paid the supplement fee July 27 and I am still under applicant. I see others are "complete" so maybe they haven't gotten to my app yet since it's been 2 weeks.

For those of us who paid the fee on 7/1, it took until 7/27 to be file completed. I think they are doing things in grand waves, so be patient it will come.🙂

I paid 7/1 and am still not complete, so it could be worse lmao
