You could send either a letter of interest or a letter of intent (please understand the difference before doing it so). Those are always a helpful way to update schools about your situation while reminding them that you are interested. My circumstances haven’t really changed since I interviewed. Should I still send them some sort of update to know that I’m still interested? I have not reviewed any decision yet.
Is it weird to get the "hold email" and then a bit later get the "First phase review complete" email? I'm confused about the order of these processes lolComplete email:
“We have completed the preliminary review of your application and you meet our admissions requirements. Your file is now being holistically reviewed to determine if you will be selected for an interview. You will remain in this status until you are selected for an interview or the admissions cycle closes.”
Hold email:
"Thank you for your interest in Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. The initial review of your application is complete and will remain in this status as we continue to evaluate candidates. Throughout our review process your application will be evaluated for possible advancement. If additional information is needed we will reach out via email."
It’s looking like the people who got the hold email never got the prelim review complete email.
When were you complete? I didn’t get complete or holdIs it weird to get the "hold email" and then a bit later get the "First phase review complete" email? I'm confused about the order of these processes lol
Honestly I’m not sure that the order is the same for everyone. I wouldn’t read into it too much.Is it weird to get the "hold email" and then a bit later get the "First phase review complete" email? I'm confused about the order of these processes lol
SameI still have not gotten the complete email. Just that my first phase is complete lol.
You’re definitely in the majority. A lot of schools just ghost anyone they don’t want to interview until the very end so honestly no way of knowing if they love you or hate you until the very end of the cycle.Same
Idk how this school reviews because people who submitted after me got interviews
They'll send you an email with the Zoom information. That essentially acts as your confirmation.Has anyone received an email confirming your interview after the admissions office called to schedule one? I have not received anything yet.
I received the zoom info 3 days after the call so don’t stress if it hasn’t been very long.Has anyone received an email confirming your interview after the admissions office called to schedule one? I have not received anything yet.
Congrats! Stats?II received, complete in October
Thanks! LM: ~65Congrats! Stats?
I don't know if this will help you but I interviewed in September and haven't heard back yet. It seems that some people hear pretty fast and others just have to wait it out. Hopefully you hear back soon. For those who have been accepted, how long from your interview were you informed?
^^, I interviewed around mid-November and heard back at the end of DecemberFor those who have been accepted, how long from your interview were you informed?
When is your interview scheduled for? just wondering how far out they are scheduling IIs....did you send an update? Thanks! LM: ~65
I didn't send an update. I don't know the date of my interview yet. The email says I have moved to interview stage, but the office will follow up with the interview date (probably after their Virtual Admissions Day). When is your interview scheduled for? just wondering how far out they are scheduling IIs....did you send an update?
Hi! I am wondering the same thing. I was accepted in December and they said they would send out financial aid information but I have not received anything yet.Does anyone know when they usually send financial aid info for those fortunate enough to have been admitted?
Hey congrats on the II! I actually received a II as well today and I think that January 25th is the Virtual Admissions Day and not the actual interview? I'm not 100% though I could have misread ahahII just now! IS.
Was scheduled to jan 25, but since i cant make it then Im interviewing in early Feb.
The date in the initial email is the Virtual Admissions Day. Someone in the Office of Admissions will call you to schedule your actual interview.Hey congrats on the II! No, if they did not like your selection of rec letters, they would not have passed you to the interview stage. They sent emails to people who did not meet the health-care professional requirement. I think your PI is the thing that counted.Guys... I think I messed up. I interviewed on 12-29-21. LMS 73.7. Complete around early October.
I saw that Hackensack requires one letter of recommendation from a health-care professional ( doctor, nurse, P.A,etc.), but none of my letters meet that requirement. I had a letter from my Genetics Professor, Human Physiology Professor, Writing Professor, and Principal Investigator ( under whom I do clinical research and act as a clinical research coordinator and see clinical subjects).
Is this looking bad for me?
on a sunday? mind sharing stats?Just got an interview invite. Complete end of July
