This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Congratulations. Can you tell me your stats and the date of completion? Also, how did you learn about II? Email or portal?
I heard back via email and was complete july 8th. I have lower stats, 3.3xGPA and 507 but alot of service,

I just got the update letter now so they might be sending them out in batches!

Thanks for letting us know! Do you mind telling us what it says, for those of us who haven't gotten it yet? Thanks a ton 🙂

It said some stuff about the mission of Rush in general and then basically said that the process takes a while and "Please rest assured that your application is still under consideration." And then welcomed updates to the app portal if necessary.

People who received update letters: when were you complete?

I just received the update letter 10 mins ago. was complete 7/21

Scared me for a second. Complete 7/25

Got it just now, right as I finished making pierogis for din din c:

Complete 8/3

+1 update letter just now and had a mini heart attack

False alarm I just got it lol

Anyone complete in September got an update? Complete 9/7 and no update today.

+1 on the update letter

Does the update letter historically mean anything?

Lol it definitely does not. You can see the neuroticism thriving in this year's admissions on this page of the thread though lol
To everyone's credit, this process is rather inhumane and enough to drive the most sane, rational person to the edge .. hope is a powerful thing.

Just received an update letter around 8PM last night. OOS, complete 7/11.

Can confirm, I went through last year's thread a few months ago. Makes no difference who got it and made no difference as to interviews. Per someone on last year's thread who went back to the 2019-2020 thread:

"OK. so I was about to go crazy with this email so I did some stalking on last year's thread. It seems like the email held no value!!!!!!!!!! SO WE CAN RELAX!!!! people who did not receive the email got II and people who did receive the email also got II. Nobody knows why Rush even sent that email (last year was the school's first try with the email)."

The inconsistency is slightly annoying though. Every year there's some kind of computer glitch where one school sends out interviews or acceptances to all applicants rather than a select list, or here's an example of where some applicants but not all receive communications.

Is it just my expectations that are too high or do others also feel like this kind of thing is fairly unacceptable, given the standard they hold applicants to..

I don't remember which school, but I think one of them spelled "medicine" wrong on the payment page for the secondary submission.

For those getting the update email, when were you guys complete?

Big day tomorrow...I feel like one of the three contestants in the Top Chef finale...happy to have made it this far but not good enough to be the winner...

EDIT: I used the Top Chef analogy because the finale has three chefs and only one can win, which is about statistically the acceptance rate post-interview.
