This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Can you imagine adcoms looking at this thread. Because I can. So... Hi

Episode 15 Hello GIF by SpongeBob SquarePants

i’m on 2 waitlists, both schools in my hometown, praying and manifesting for an A this week 🙏🏽 good luck to you all!! thanks for being so supportive and active here, you make me feel so much more sane lol
We are all trying to stay sane together!!! Much luck!!!

For those of you guys only on waitlists and no acceptances how far are you in the reapplication process? I’ve been trying to push forward but it’s so disheartening thinking about applying again.

Also adding to the data points of being on 4 waitlists. This process is so demoralizing

Roughly 7 waitlists here. I'm just tired and disheartened from this process, so I'm not applying until June 2023. In the meantime, I found a gap year job, and I'm thinking about other ECs I can do to strengthen my candidacy

Oh my god. I cannot fathom being in this position. I do strongly believe that you will get off at least one.

@RinTohsaka22 -- he's right. Anything is possible, and I don't blame you for being disheartened at this point in the cycle, but you really need to give it just a little more time.

Planning on taking a one cycle breather is not the worst idea in the world, but, unless you were truly offensive on all of your interviews, with 7 WLs you are statistically likely to receive ~2 As. You haven't been shy about posting, so I know we are all going to hear as soon as you have some good news to report.

My prediction is that we will be hearing from you sometime in the next 4-6 weeks. Good luck, and hang in there just a little bit longer. This thing started exactly one year ago. Another month or so is nothing!!

It is only May 2nd, so the majority of PTE changes won't be accounted for until tomorrow. Be patient and let the process work. I am sure many of you who are losing hope will see that response wasted and will shortly realize their dream of becoming a physician. This is especially true for those on multiple waitlists who statistically have the best chance to be accepted. From personal experience and previous wait-list forums, I have observed that the best choices often come from acceptances off the waitlist. Please note that the majority of us at sdn are all rooting for you to succeed.

also jumping on the "4 waitlists and manifesting an acceptance this week" train!

Anyone else feel just straight up disrespected and angry by how we as applicants are treated? Its crazy to me that the new app cycle opens today and so many of us still have no idea what our future holds. Our lives have been on hold for so long. I'm fine with knowing I wasn't good enough to get in but why does it have to take an entire year to figure this out.. Applying is so expensive and a lot of us have super important decisions to make regarding gap year plans, reapplying ($$$$$), leases etc right around now... three of my waitlists with traditionally good movement have barely even been touched yet.

I found this reddit post kind of airing a lot of the greviences associated with this process below. I found it to be so relatable. For all of you struggling right now just know you are not alone.
