2022-2023 Temple

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
for those of you have had interviews, when you log into your portal, does it look different than what it used to look like? previously, on the left side you would see a section called "personal information" and on the right you would see a day in the life vlog. for me, they're not there anymore.
same here

TU portal layout was recently updated for everyone across the university

I'm going crazy waiting for any kind of news from Temple. I live in Philly and was planning on waiting for a rejection before applying to Temple's post-bacc programs, but does anyone have any input as to whether it's necessary to wait? My thought process was that it would look like I'm not confident if I apply to their post-baccs before hearing back from their med school. I appreciate any kind of advice!

My guess is that one hand does not talk to the other (unless you inform them.)

I have a 1st quartile casper, and I just interviewed for the St. Luke's campus this week. Complete in early August, IS with 72LM if that helps.
When did you receive your interview with the St. Luke's campus, was it recently?

Not sure if any one has asked this before, does LKSOM accept update letters pre-II?

II received Wednesday night 1/11 at 3AM, OOS applicant and submitted mid July! I was not expecting this (I have lower stats, GPA 3.45, MCAT 509) but very excited!! I have my interview on Thursday, anyone have any tips for interview day? Hoping everyone who has not gotten a response gets an update soon!

not sure if this has been answered already, but to those who interviewed how was your experience? did they focus a lot on your application or was it more conversational? was it stressful? if u could expand on how it went and what the feel was that'd be great! 🙂

You get two interviewers. One is on the adcom and has your file. That one was very chill and my interviewer was extremely friendly. Mostly questions about my app and a few broad questions like how do you see yourself in the future etc. The other one is a blind interview. My interviewer was being aggressive and I got flustered, flubbing some answers. I would recommend preparing good answers summarizing your life and application to avoid this.
thank u so much for the insight. for the aggressive interview was it more questions regarding healthcare/ethical or was it difficuly personal/life/academic questions?

Both! I wouldn’t worry about it though since most people have very chill interviews. Just make sure you prepare for a closed file interview if you haven’t had one

I know someone else said two but I actually had three interviews. One open file, one closed file and one with a Philly community member. All three were conversational and not stressful. They asked me about ec’s, passions, community involvement etc. I interviewed 11/9

Ah yes I forgot about that. The interviewer was extremely nice and welcoming and acknowledged everyone’s responses. I wouldn’t stress about it at all just be genuine.

During my interview, we were told that decisions would be releasing today. But I still have not received any form of communication. Anyone else?

Check the portal. Emails start tricking down later in the day but the portal usually updates first (early in the morning last cycle, midnight back in December last year)

Was the admit type “first time professional” tab always on the portal? Or is this new?

I do not see that tab actually.

I’m referring to the fourth column.
