Can anyone who was accepted in November share how many days after their phone call they received the official letter in the mail please?
Mine just arrived a few days agoCan anyone who was accepted in November share how many days after their phone call they received the official letter in the mail please?
I meant is the December acceptance wave over (I should have clarified!)no they said most acceptances go out in March!
Like a month and a half laterCan anyone who was accepted in November share how many days after their phone call they received the official letter in the mail please?
Wait I somehow got mine today and was just accepted on Friday, so they def sped up for this round I thinkLike a month and a half later
I sent one after interviewing in early Oct and havent heard back still. I think if you send it pre-Feb/March it should be framed as an update while expressing your interest. If you get the waitlist in march, then I think it would be most helpful to send LOIDoes anyone have experience with sending a LOI here? It’s my absolute top choice school and has been since my interview in late October. Is it better to send now or wait until I get an admissions decision and send if WL?
Thank you! I was kind of thinking something similar, my thinking is that to send an LOI before getting a decision it should probably be closer to the actual interview and it might be a bit late right now. Wishing you best of luck!!I sent one after interviewing in early Oct and havent heard back still. I think if you send it pre-Feb/March it should be framed as an update while expressing your interest. I sent one and got the A, but it also had some updates. I don’t think there’s necessarily a right way to do it, but yeah if it’s your top choice I’d probably tell them that earlier rather than laterThank you! YeahDo we just upload these letters on the portal?
I got mine today and it’s soooo beautiful 🥺 what a dream!! All love to Dr. Carter and the admissions team for believing in me ❤️ congrats to all those accepted and best of luck to those still waiting!Wait I somehow got mine today and was just accepted on Friday, so they def sped up for this round I think
Same here, guess the submit on due date strategy wasn’t what it was cracked up to be.Pre-II R today!
I think a nice way to do it would be to bundle your interest in the school with a tangible application update that they can add to your file. That way your letter serves two purposesAs I'm finishing up my interview process, I'm settling in on this being my #1 school and I'm considering writing a letter of intent/interest. Has anyone else submitted here? Would anyone be willing to look it over and make sure it's good? Is this something I should upload to the portal? Would welcome any advice/help here or in DMs
Any current students on here that could give advice about the culture? I am trying to decide between two mstp interviews on the same date that I can't reschedule, and it can be hard to get an accurate feel for how collaborative a school is online.
Haven't interviewed yet, but you do get the names of the people interviewing you in advance! I interview this week, but when I looked in my portal on Friday I saw the names of my 3 interviewers.@ people who have interviewed already: about how many people do they interview per interview day? (assuming it stays relatively consistent) And do they tell you the names of your interviewers in advance?
You get the names of your interviewers in advance, and at least for MSTP I had 15 people inc. myself on my interview day@ people who have interviewed already: about how many people do they interview per interview day? i believe there was around 20 people the day of my interview. You also get the name of your interviewers in advance in your portal in the interview tab@ people who have interviewed already: about how many people do they interview per interview day? Congrats!! When did you interview?Just got the call today! A!
OctoberCongrats!! When did you interview?
There’s hope then Congrats again!October
I wouldn't give up hope! I thought most A's come out in Feb/March regardless?Interviewed in August and didn't hear anything in December or today...looks like no A for me 🥲
Yes, most acceptances at UChicago are sent out in Feb/MarchI wouldn't give up hope! I thought most A's come out in Feb/March regardless?
Same here - holding out hope for feb/march!Interviewed in August and didn't hear anything in December or today...looks like no A for me 🥲
Posting very late. Got the A call last Friday. Interviewed in December. LM = 74. URM. This is my number one choice for sure and I feel so blessed to be in this position.
For my own peace of mind/sanity: has anyone gotten accepted here whose interviews were decent but not over-the-top spectacular (like "I became best friends with my interviewers and they had huge smiles the entire time I was talking")
Tbh, I thought it was my best interview experience. I put it all out there and left feeling like I made a the best impression I could.Congrats!! How did you feel about your interview?
thank you, that makes me feel a lot better ❤️I interviewed back in august and was admitted in November. It was my first interview and I thought it was pretty sloppy, I felt like I wasn’t bringing my best self, and one of them ended in only 20 minutes don’t lose hope!!
should be around 2/23 give or take a day. Also when I interviewed (recently) they told us results should definitely be out by the end of Februarywhen is the next round of A based on previous years?
End of Feb should be the majority of A s releasedwhen is the next round of A based on previous years?
They're responding to you. That's pretty much it. Don't read into it too much/worry. They're probably too busy to respond quickly. What does it mean when one of your interviewers responds to your thank you email weeks later lmaooo
The acceptance letter says April 13-14Does anyone know when admitted students weekend is here?
Time for me to overthink and be neurotic again bc my app cycle is a barren wasteland and I have a ton of free time. My faculty interviewer named specific people I should do research with and went into a ton of depth about their research and also responded to my thank-you email lightning fast (on a weekend) with an "I'm looking forward to working with you"...did anyone who's gotten the A already have a similar experience?
I know I can't read into this because one interviewer doesn't have unilateral influence but this has to be a sign that at least that person liked me right
At Pritzker or elsewhere? I've def heard horror stories but they usually don't specify the school
Thanks, hopefully that faculty member held a lot of sway for the committee
