I emailed admissions and they said that decisions are made in 8-10 weeks, and then you are notified of A or WL. If no decision is made, you are just ghosted until they make a decision or notified of the R at the end of the cycle. Based on past cycle posts, this "hold" just means R.

Since it's been 15 weeks for me, I'm going to assume I got the R. I wish CUSM was more transparent about this and gave a "delayed/deferred" decision like other schools or gave the R outright rather than ghosting. (But I have a lot to say about their communication in general lol.)

Same thing they said to me, said they don’t have access to information from admissions committee, I’m on week 12 rn

Yeah 11/12 and nothing here as well. I feel like they are somewhat behind on the decisions right now due to the holiday. Additionally the med student previously wrote that it could be a longer turnaround time as well and said that if people are hearing back about As and they interviewed the month after you then you have most likely been ghosted.

I feel like I’m gonna stick to that logic and not totally freak out yet. Although easier said then done, my heart rate has been a mile a minute since last Friday.

Interviewed mid-November.. unfortunately waitlisted (i am grateful its not a rejection tho). Trying to keep my hopes up since this is so close to home but I have no idea how the waitlist movement is :/

I have a friend who is an M1 now that got waitlisted at CUSM! There is a lot of movement towards the end. When did you interview?

I was trying to look at previous years' threads to see how the movement is and or when it begins but was not able to find much about it.
 
When I emailed they told me 8-10 weeks turnaround for A or WL. On week 11 but seems like no one from our week has heard? I'm confused
 
Is everyone invited to the VIP? I'm waitlisted, and I'm wondering if I should go for a better chance at getting off the waitlist. The plane tickets are quite expensive so I'm hesitant 🙁

Yea I am very curious if this is only Accepted and Waitlisted students or if this was sent to every student who applied to the school. Was anyone without an interview invited to the VIP day?

I didn’t know it was for accepted stud-nets too… I think imma go but kinda be embarrased when I’m like oh yeah I didn’t get in 🤭
