In my info session they say that most of their class when the year starts is comprised of mainly WL kids. So they didn't tell us how many spots are left, but if you get a waitlist they said that it is practically an acceptance and they are just waiting for a spot to open up for you. They mentioned that last year only two kids did not get off the waitlist by the beginning of orientation.

Thank you for this. A little encouraging. Hopefully, there are many more interviews. Seems like Howard still has movement late in the season from reading the last two years threads.

Yes, from other people accepting offers at different schools, many factors for the discrepancy!

I got the app reviewed email on the same day and just sent a update/letter of interest on 1/31. I used Shemassian and Crackingmedadmissions for help.

WL today.

They told us during our interview day that all seats have been filled (people holding acceptances) so acceptances moving forward will be in the form of a waitlist. For what it’s worth, the admissions team emphasized that a WL is essentially an acceptance until seats free up when people have to whittle their list of acceptances they’re holding down.

TBH, I feel like I tend to be pretty good at interviews but on this one I just didn’t do as well. So yeah lol, but nothing specific. It was a pretty chill interview process though so don’t stress about it going in.

If it’s any consolation, They said that last year that pretty much everyone got off the waitlist by the end of the cycle. Though they did emphasize that with the new court ruling on admissions, that they don’t know how much it will affect the amount of people who choose to go elsewhere

There will be lots of offers from the wait list starting in April when AMCAS applicants have to let go of multiple spots they are holding.
