2023-2024 Indiana

Is this all sent by IU through email after you apply? I just submitted my application on Friday for UMP but I haven't gotten any confirmation or any of these forms yet.
I didn't apply UMP, so not sure about the timeline for that sorry. But I received it in the email with the subject line "Interview Notification & Supplemental Packet"

Same! I was also verified on 7/7. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to go from received to decision?

+1 verified 7/6, though my CASPer was not set to them until 8/22 (I'd accidently left them off of my CASPer list)

did you also "submit" on 7/7? or were you submitted beforehand and verified on the 7th?

Just got II OOS for UMP... Received confirmation of my primary app last week --> emailed them yesterday about my interest in UMP --> got UMP app 15 min after --> finished last night --> got II today

From the wording in the UMP email it seems like it is a guaranteed interview if you complete the UMP app (?)

for anyone that received a II, did the graduate fee paid checkmark appear on the applicant portal only after 7 days or did it appear sooner for anyone?
How did this end up playing out for you? I applied last week and tomorrow is 7 days and I'm wondering whether I should verify that my virtual interview acknowledgment and graduate fee were received...

The virtual interview form showed up sooner but the graduate fee only showed up after the 7 day mark!

How long did it take for your prerequisites and letters of rec to be checked off?

Quite the opposite lol, UMP probably makes it harder to get in than because there are only 16 spots and tons of applicants. Applicants stand a better chance through the regular pathway.

But their website says when applying for their UMP, you’re still evaluated for their regular pathway

Yep! They mentioned that as well but going through previous forums, it seems like the apps are held by UMP until around March before going one way or another which is usually too late to be considered for the regular pathway. Essentially, you’re evaluated for UMP until they decide to reject you and then put into the normal pool. Most were put into the normal pool around March or later.

App received 7/20, II received 8/11, interview just scheduled for 10/11

Do you think this is the case for the RMED program as well?

If one is not accepted into the RMED can they still be considered for the regular med program?

Yep! They absolutely can. I’m not too sure about what the timeline of RMED is but as long as they don’t reject you too late, there’s plenty of time to get considered by the normal med program. I know that timeline has been a challenge for urban but no idea how rural works

Second this question^ my graduate fee was received 9/7 but my prereqs, lors and dean evaluation are still marked as not received
They emailed me that once the graduate fee is paid, your prereqs and lors are added to a queue so that they can check for compliance. My graduate fee was paid on 8/24 and these items still haven't been confirmed.

On the Supplemental Information document they sent it says that they need either 3 LOR or a committee evaluation. That means that if I sent only a committee letter it fulfils the requirement correct? Just kinda nervous because it still hasn't been checked off on my portal even though my prerequisites are

Hey everyone, I’m a MS1 at IU! I’d be happy to answer any questions you guys may have! Best of luck with the application process!

Call them and ask.

Is it common for prereqs and LORs to not be marked complete at the same time? My prereqs were marked complete a few days ago but LORs still say incomplete.

OOS II just now (primary verified 7/6, confirmation received last week of august).

However, I don't see a place to sign up for an interview yet (guessing this will come after I submit all my documents and pay the fee, can anyone confirm?) and am really confused about why I received an II because my letters of recommendation don't satisfy their requirements (lacking a non-science letter writer). Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Big congrats! you'll receive an email sometime in the next few weeks with an assigned interview date that should fall on a Wednesday.

Are we supposed to fill out all the sections to the online application? I'm confused by the instructions that say to not upload any additional information including transcripts/test scores. Does that mean we fill out the sections like undergrad/GPA...etc but not upload any actual documents?

There is no need to fill out any of that. All information needed is in the AMCAS application.

For those who are doing ED, do we know what day we're supposed to hear back? I know it's before Oct. 1st and last year they received letters in the mail Wednesday, Sep 28th. That same Wednesday this year is the 27th. So should we hypothetically hear next Wednesday?

I’m assuming the 27th since they typically release decisions on Wednesday even for RD, and if we’re supposed to know before Oct 1st, it’s the only date that makes sense. Although last year some people’s portal didn’t update until a few days after their letter…

MSAR says the 29th which is what I was anticipating. Slightly terrified if it's actually gonna be wednesday

How long does it generally take to receive an interview date? I received the invitation 8/18 and haven’t had any communication from the school since.
