2023-2024 Indiana

finally received interview date (it's in november) this week . For transparency in terms of time-line, I was offered interview beginning of september (like first week). interestingly enough, was given date while my LOR and pre-reqs are still not marked as complete

Quick question -I have an interview but I was wondering are the prerequisites really mandatory? The IU Med website does not mention Psychology (just social/behavioral science), but my pre-requisite says I am missing psychology hours? I did not take any Psychology course, but I was given an interview. Anyone have any experience with this?
I would call and ask about this. I previously called and asked them about whether these classes need to be Psychology and Social Science, and they said that those are flexible so long as they fall into the category. You DO need a social science semester AND a behavioral science semester, I believe that's mandatory, but the actual field/course is flexible.

OOS II today. I'd say I have pretty strong ties to the state and school but then again they were my first R last year.

Everything is finally marked complete for me! My interview date is in November, and I received my interview date on October 2nd. I hope this helps add some clarity to the timing of these things! I was stressed about them not marking my LORs or Dean Evaluation for a few weeks, but looks like everything is good to go now

Is it wierd that I just got a notification “received” when I submitted on 8/11?

anyone have UMP interview yet?
Also had mine. I was a bit nervous because they are supposed to have multiple people interviewing you, but it wasn't so bad in the end. Questions were pretty straightforward tbh, just make sure you know why UMP, a bit about the Gary campus, and why Indiana SOM. Why med goes without saying too.

Can you elaborate on how it went? The setup, vibe, etc thanks!
It was pretty chill! I had two interviewers and they were pretty nice. I would highly recommend going through the sdn past interview questions for IU bc those rlly helped. Make sure to have your why UMP answer ready and be prepared for some situational questions. ! Hope that helped

Nothing in my informed delivery today. Although I dont expect anyone to hear anything till Wednesday since last year all the acceptances were mailed out on Wednesdays (and took 1-3 days to be delivered on average) with an email the Wednesday after. So whoever gets accepted this month should get an email on 10/25 if the mailed letters take way too long

Looking through last years thread, it looks like it may not have always showed up in informed delivery, so we should all still blitz to our mailbox today. You know, just in case.

remote working today and camping at my mailbox, literally foaming at the mouth everytime i see any vehicle resembling a mail truck lmao

Did anyone else have a terrible interview experience? Any breakdown on the weight given to the interview?

ED acceptances didn’t show up on Informed delivery. A few people got their acceptances on the Thursday after the Wednesday they were sent out, but most people got them on Friday. Best of luck to everyone!!!

received it via mail! no portal update yet, nothing in informed delivery, interviewed 8/30, II on 7/18
anecdotally have heard from current MS that it takes 2 months out from your interview date for an acceptance and WL/R happen at the end of the cycle unfortunately
hopefully these data points are helpful for my fellow neurotics lol

Haha perfect response, thank you so much for the help!

Is it too late to apply to indiana this cycle? Is it worth it?
