wait, is it true that instate applicants have a 99% post-interview acceptance rate?

But the general post interview acceptance is 63% . Did anyone get a letter from the director

Also keep in mind they have in state kids come in through regular admission as well as ED. I imagine the ED post II accept rate is really high and probably skews it a bit

Crazy number haha, most of the battle is in getting the interview and then it's just a sanity check to make sure the applicant isn't a psychopath I suppose

No. I'm not sure where you saw that number, but it's very different than the MSAR one.

According to MSAR, there were 1040 verified in state applications. Of those, 387 applicants interviewed. From there, 124 in state students matriculated. That's 32%. Who knows how many students were accepted and didn't matriculate, but probably not enough to make up the other 67%.

Matriculants is not the same as acceptances. A school does not have a yield of 100% so they have to send out more offers than their class size in order to fill it.

I just finished my interview, the whole session was very amicable and conversational. It's a nice surprise that the questions tended to build off of my previous answers rather than being a list of questions that have no relatability whatsoever. The session lasted just shy of 25 minutes which included me asking him questions about the campus. Just posting this here in case anyone was stressed about their upcoming interview. Good luck!

Great interview

attended their info session and they said they are looking to have a class of 190 individuals, with around 80 being regular decision applicants. the rest will be early decision/early assurance people

I hope they accept more than 190 individuals

I keep telling myself that the 63% post interview acceptance rate applies to us. Here's hoping!!!!

This is admit.org, which uses the same data quoted earlier in the thread.

It's on advanced, and on the upper right-hand side, it's switched to OOS.

Pre II R - email is entitled “NEOMED Application Update.”

Didn’t really hurt because I got an II with my in-state, top choice. This was my first academic “R” in life as I applied ED to undergrad and only applied to one master’s program and got into both. Maybe I’ll be more upset later.

Good luck to everyone else still in process!

When did you apply?

OOS II today.
If this is helpful for anyone, it looks like the earliest times available for interviews are in the 4th week of January.
I also just got off work (pacific time zone) so I'm guessing some earlier slots may have filled up already from the IIs sent out today.

Got the II Monday, Secondary Completed 11/30. Currently OOS for a postbacc, but lived in Ohio from birth through college until 2022. Anybody have insight into whether they'll consider me OOS or IS for application purposes? Based on their post II acceptance breakdown it seems like IS would be a huge advantage

Does anyone know how reputable the 99% post-II acceptance rate is for IS applicants? That is absurd

Any idea about the decisions? When are they sending the acceptance? Did any post interview communication happen ?
