I uploaded an update letter to the portal over a month ago, and emailed the admissions office the same day to let them know. If i didn’t get confirmation via email, is it worth checking in with them again to make sure they are aware? Or should i just assume they have seen it? Anyone else have something similar happen?
Same to send two follow-up emails for them to reply back. It's just the two of them running the entire office so they get backlogged pretty quickly

I got confirmation the next day— I’d definitely check to make sure they got it, I think they’ll understand wanting to make sure

It was Friday, 12/16 last year and Friday, 12/17 the year before. I’d anticipate Friday, 12/15 this year maybe?
That's a tour day it would be crazy to send out As the same day a bunch of freaky premeds (i.e. myself) are on campus lmao

At least this is my hope, as I’ll be traveling and potentially unreachable by phone starting the ~20th.. is that something worth telling admissions about?

Don't bring attention to it you'll get emails and just check your portal every couple days to see if the admissions decision tab pulls up

Gonna be traveling too, and it feels too presumptuous/premature to tell admissions in case they are calling for an A. Going to change my voicemail to reflect that I’m traveling and will only have access to my email. And then anxiously refresh the portal.

Yup that makes sense, I’ll be doing the same. Good luck!!

sorry if this was asked already, but are we thinking 12/15 for the first round of As?

Where can you find the open house info? I was told in the box, but can’t find it

I'll be going to the open house in Jan! If anyone has suggestions for restaurants and coffee shops or other places to visit please drop them here 🙂

Oh I see the open house date marked on the calendar. Have they sent info about it yet?

If I sent thank you notes to my interviewers directly should l upload my letters to the portal as well? I didn't and I'm overthinking if I should upload now!

So is the consensus is that decisions wouldn’t come out until the 18th at the earliest because of the visit day?

Not 100% sure, but MSAR says 12/20/2023 is the earliest date an acceptance notice is sent

Did anyone else who interviewed not get invited to the open house? I interviewed over a month ago (got the post-interview survey and everything) but never got an email with open house info. I saw in the Box that details for the Open House would be sent separately, but I'm wondering if I somehow got skipped in that communication. I don't think I missed the email because my AMCAS is connected to an email address I only use for medical school admissions, and it didn't wind up in spam or anything.
They send it the day of your interview

If you are planning to visit, then you could maybe send them an email asking for the form 🙂

Can anyone see what time they started releasing decisions last year? Do we still think its today?

Last year on 12/16 a couple people said they got called around 1-2 CST and it’s not clear how late it went. A couple years ago people got calls on 12/17 all the way into the evening (someone mentioned 6 pm CST) and people even got called the next day on Saturday. As it’s getting later I’m starting to question whether it’ll be today at all

I am starting to question it as well as I've been refreshing the page so often. Maybe it is better if I do not think about this today and just focus on other things. Good luck to everyone!!

How do you all see the times on SDN posts?
