2024-2025 Indiana

@Heyigotnoclue

IUSOM heavily favors IS. The 2023-2024 Fact Sheet shows that 77% of students are from Indiana. I cannot speak to how they view reapplicants.
I was under the impression that the school was OOS friendly. I did have an interview earlier this month. That said, I went to school in Indiana, so I do have ties. I was very involved in the local community as well.

I guess determining if IUSOM is OOS friendly depends on how you define friendly. Their metrics definitely show that they favor IS applicants, but they do accepts OOS applicants (especially those with ties like you). If you received an II already and have ties you have a great shot!

Hey everyone! What does "Once your application has been received, you will be scheduled for an interview with members of both the traditional and urban committees." mean? This is for UMP!

Pretty sure they just mean you are considered for UMP first and if accepted you won't be considered for traditional program. But if you aren't accepted for UMP, then they automatically consider you for traditional (so you get interviewed by both) - could be wrong though!

Has someone made a groupme or a facebook group for accepted students yet?

Can someone confirm that the student panel is optional? I have heard this from current students but I see nothing about it stated as optional on my supplemental materials

Hi all! For the graduate application did you create a new account?

I got an email that said “Your application is now under consideration and may be presented to the Admissions Committee for further discussion. All applicants will receive a final decision by June.”

els99 - Thanks! Were you accepted after that or are you still waiting?

Does anyone who's already interviewed have an estimate for how long the whole day takes? I'm starting in the morning but will have to make an exam up in the evening so I'm unsure of how long it'll take, I saw someone say it was like an "all day" thing, I just don't know what that means time-wise, thanks!

for the thank you letters, is it fine to email both of the interviewers on one email? or should we separate them out into individual letters?

Has anyone who submitted their primary app around 9/7 gotten the "application received email"?
Also, is there any chance that because I have not picked my LORs for them, that's why I haven't heard back? I was a bit unclear about if I needed to send them with the primary app or wait to hear back about moving forward first.

I interviewed at 3:00 and all the sessions were done by then, and I think they said those were the latest interviews. Good luck!

Just got an email saying “At present, your application remains under consideration.” Anyone got this or know what it means? I already got an email a few weeks ago saying “Your application is now under consideration and may be presented to the Admissions Committee for further discussion.”

champagejeet I wonder if this is an email they will send at the start of each month if you have interviewed but have not yet received an A? Seems like a form email imo.
