Hey guys I was having some issues with the LECOM portal and reached out twice many days ago but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone had the same experience?

My main issue was that I only got to fill out like 2 pages of general information about ethnicity and stuff like that. When I'd click "save and move on" it wouldn't let me. So I decided to add payment/submit and then return to the pages later to see if that would change anything. When I went back to my portal it said the "Application Complete" as in submitted ... and I don't know if I even got to fill the whole supplemental out?

I’ve been watching the Erie forum and they are having the exact same issues. I guess their system isn’t operating as planned. I would give it a few days and email the admissions office if it isn’t fixed.

Does anyone know if the "On Campus Day Event" is optional or is it part of our application? I just finished the interview for Elmira and received the email.

I received one for Bradenton, but when I look I only see dates for Erie. Are you seeing dates for Elmira?
It's confusing as I did the video interview as well. The email mentions a "group interview". So then how can it be optional?

Yes, mine does say for Elmira. Perhaps it is a glitch for the Bradenton? But yes, I am not sure about this group interview aspect of the email. It is not well detailed. I would expect it to say mandatory or optional.

I haven’t even gotten a secondary and I’ve been validated since early June. My stats are definitely not low enough to be screened out. I emailed admissions to follow up.

I never received an official interview invite but I just got an email from LECOM Elmira stating

Good morning,

If you have not registered for the weekly Zoom for your video interview tips and recommendations, please do so.

Did anyone else receive this?

That happened to someone at the last information session. I would email the person who sent you the link for the info session, its likely that you were supposed to get the link for the II but didn't

This just happened to me as well - I emailed them back and they replied “This is for those applicants that we have invited to interview and those that we are interested in interviewing.”

Yes I responded and they ended up sending me the interview link right after. Thank you!

For the interview, it says you have 1:30 to respond to each question. What about reading or thinking about the question before recording? Is it like Casper, where there’s a separate time limit for reflection?

Yes, you get 30 seconds to reflect on the answer prior to it start recording. You could also start early if you are confident in the answer prior to the 30 seconds ending. I think I also had two minutes per prompt, not 1:30. Hopefully this made sense. Let me know if you need clarification. Good Luck!

Anyone else having trouble registering for on campus tour?
I think lecom website is having problems. Albeit I got lecom Bradenton and trying to pick on campus event, but no luck in registering for it either.

Anyone else having trouble registering for on campus tour?
I am!! The initial II email I got mentions that we will receive information for the "On-Campus Day Session" after completing the async video interview. I completed the video and right after got an email only saying that they will email with instructions for next steps. I haven't received any more info since, did you get any additional info? Like anything on how to register for the campus session or how to fill out the form for pathway choice?

For me the pathway form did not appear in my portal for like a week or two after the interview. But I did get the next step email relatively quick though.

Thanks so much for your response 🙂 Hopefully im just being impatient! Did you get to schedule your campus session? If so, how far away from your interview date?

No worries! I did not even realize that we needed to fill out the pathway form because nothing was there. I got an email telling me to complete it, lol a couple weeks later. Yes, I was able to schedule the campus session. Mine in on the 23rd (about a month post interview). They have sessions every two weeks (on Fridays) from August 23rd to December.

You're welcome! I wish you a successful cycle as well!

Did anyone get a confirmation email after submitting the supplemental email? On my own record, I wrote that I submitted it on 7/14, but on my portal, the fourth arrow is still blue, and I haven't heard anything from them since submitting it. It does say that "your application and checklist items have been submitted; you are waiting to be reviewed."

IS II today. Where/how do we submit the Pathway Selection Form? Is that something we find on the interview platform or the secondary portal?

Im honestly really confused as to why they are not just calling the "optional on-campus day" an interview. Looking at the agenda, its basically an entire two hours of group interviews. Then we get a 15 minute tour and its over. I'm absolutely fine taking a day off from work and traveling to a medical school for an interview, but call it what it is: an interview. Don't try and hide it behind a 15 minute tour and lunch and call it something else. Here is the agenda for reference:

Agenda:

9:30am – Check -in – please do not check in prior to this time.

9:45am – 10:00am – Welcome with Student Affairs

10:00am – Break into groups

10:05am – 10:35am – First group interview session

10:35 – Rotate Groups

10:40 – 11:20 – Second group interview session

11:20am – Rotate Groups

11:25 – 11:55 – Third group interview session

11:55 – Return to conference room

12:00pm – 12:15pm – Tour with medical students

12:15pm – 1:00pm – Lunch with students

Do you receive information about the optional on campus day after completing your video interview? I received an II and am waiting to submit it until the interview zoom info session they are offering but have not received any information about an on campus day?

Has anyone interviewed and not received the pathway selection form yet? Is this something I should email about?

Yes, you will receive the information after completing the interview. It may take a few days to receive the email.

thanks for posting this. I agree, they are a bit cryptic about it. Also the "optional" nature is confusing. Did you already attend the event? How far in advance did you receive the agenda?

How long after your interview was your portal updated? I keep checking like a crazy person. And did you receive a letter in the mail for the acceptance? Congrats btw!!
Thank you! I can't remember exactly. Around 3-4 weeks, I just got an email stating a decision has been made on your application. So, through email.

Did you attend the on-campus day "event"? I am wondering if they accept people who do not attend it. Thanks!
