❗How does the UMSOM expect the "Work Description" to be filled out in the II application? Resume style? Short Essay? Just the name?

There's no character limit or instructions, so I'm unsure what they're looking for 😥

There's no character limit or instructions, so I'm unsure what they're looking for

I, personally, used the “work description” section to put down the title of my job. I don’t know if that’s what you’re supposed to do or not, but that’s what I did. Still got an II!

Earliest was Oct 16, but that was the only one until December.

they definitely were very familiar with my application! my faculty interview was very conversational and i spent around half the time just asking them questions and chatting. my student interview was also fairly conversational in terms of flow, but you could tell they came prepared with questions that they wanted to get through within the time limit.

not yet! as far as i know, maryland doesn't give out decisions until at least 10/15 (like most other schools) so :')

Did you have a positive interview experience?

I thought I did! I got to talk a lot about my experiences, and I definitely connected with one of the interviewers through that. I have good stats, LORs, work/research/shadowing/clinical experience, and the like. Not sure what happened, but that’s ok! WL isn’t a rejection, and now that I’m a few hours removed from finding out, I’m feeing pretty ok with it. 🙂

I know I'm late but IS II received 9/4. Completed late august. I genuinely couldn't believe how early I received an invite, I thought it was a mistake at first lol, hoping its a good sign tho. When I was signing up the earliest date was October 28th.

yup waitlists are hard ngl . im reapplying to UMSOM b/c I was waitlisted did not get off pretty tough. thought I had a nice app ...but people do get off - just do not spend too much of your energy on it 🙂 LM 70

If you look at cycletrack there have been multiple MSTP II. There is also a separate MSTP forum (go to "physician scientist" and there are threads on acceptances, waitlist, rejections, and invites).
