Can anyone comment on their interview experience here? Would you say it was more conversational or interrogative? Please don't be specific at all I am just hoping to get insight into what the vibes are going in 🙂 Thank you in advance for any info you can give!

I think it really depends on your interviewer, but both of mine were very kind and easy to talk to. They really seemed like they were there to uplift you and root for you.

One of mine was super friendly and the other was super dry. I think no matter where you interview it simply depends on your interviewers and not the school.

Just gotta match the vibe with the interviewers. If they are bubbly, be bubbly back. If they are super dry, don’t be bubbly, be direct and to the point.

Contrary to what others have replied my interviewers were actually very interrogative and at times rude. I don’t mean to scare you - - I hope that is not the case, but in case it is, my advice is to not let it rattle you. End your responses with a pleasant smile and have confidence in yourself!

To add to this, every school has the old white male doctor who’s been practicing since World War II and is a grumpy pants. And for some reason they love to interview future med students lmao. But the truth is you’re gonna deal with people like this your whole career, so figuring out how to roll with their punches is huge. It’s almost like their testing if you can handle the pressure

LMAO yup this was my interviewer, still got the A tho

A lot of people joined the group me all around the same time today so I don’t think only waitlists were sent out that

Thanks for all the help guys!! I really appreciate the advice, fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Has anyone gotten off the WL yet? When does WL movement typically occur?

The office of admissions said they’re sending out II’s for another couple weeks
Thanks so much. Just to confirm do you mean they're potentially sending out more in a couple of weeks or they've been done sending them out for a couple of weeks?

A few posts have been removed because they are off-topic
@mooink, if you ask questions from your co-applicants, don't then ask them how they know...
Flap and bard, the ignore button is available for hiding posts of those who annoy you

I don't wanna see any "Florida Man" or "Florida Woman" headlines about any of y'all because you can't put up with minor annoyances

Back to waiting for Miami news

Anyone know what we should wear to second look? When I google it online it looks like people are in event-style dresses, not business-y at all. Can anyone confirm?

In the groupme the people said whatever you want, "business casual at max".

Chinos and short-sleeved button downs and such are probably alrighty. (Warm weather) comfortable business casual in general is always safe.

Did Miami send out any Acceptance offers this week? It’s been 5 weeks since I interviewed with them but have not heard from them.

Anyone know how long Miami typically sends II? Am I cooked now that it's halfway through March or do we think there's still maybe one more week left 🙁

Hey guys, I (OOS) interviewed with UMiami on 11/12, placed on rolling WL 11/26. Gonna send a Letter of Intent. How fast does the WL move, and is it realistic to expect to get off this late in the cycle? Thanks!

The vast majority of WL movement doesnt start until 4/30 after people start withdrawing their As from schools they won’t attend

Does anyone know from previous years if Miami has decent waitlist movement?

Probably depends from year to year, so we don't know for sure. Could me more, could be less.
definitely. that chart has a lot of outdated or wrong info.

e.g. it says Brown waitlists 10-25 but Brown waitlists all of the applicants it interviews that don't receive an immediate acceptance (so it should be closer to 200).

Take it with a grain of salt but if it brings you comfort, run with it. Ultimately, the best thing to do on a waitlist is submit an LOI and then forget that school exists until they reach out with their final decision.
