IS verified 6/10 - I just got mine. I don't know how they are deciding when to send them out because my friend who was verified on 6/11 got his last Friday.

I found this on the website from current students where they talk about some of their reasons and the surrounding community so you may find this helpful! I know it's mostly focused on "why UMN", but I do think some of it is more general and could help give some ideas! I am also from MN and like besides the horrible weather (lol) I think you could talk about a lot of things depending on what pathway/things you are focused on. Like for example if you are interested in equitable healthcare/fighting racial & ethnic disparities, community service, etc you could mention the community and initiatives of the community like the George Floyd protests and other things like that? You could also talk about the different hospitals/clinics and things that you might have an interest in eventually working in/learning from the practitioners there. Sorry I don't have anything super concrete because I am not doing the regular MD secondaries but I hope this is at least helpful!

I wish the best for you bro!!! I think maybe they are taking a little bit more time to review everyone's application, and I hope you will receive your secondary soon!
 
If anyone is having a hard time with secondaries just know that I literally spent a full week writing and refining my answers to the MSTP prompts and was about to submit them in the portal when I realized it was CHARACTER count instead of word count😭 literally had to turn my 700 word essays into 700 characters 😭lol rip me. So hopefully I have taken most of the bad vibes and you all are thriving right now! Good luck to everyone and remember to read the prompts carefully 😭😭
 
Did u guys receive an email immediately after submitting app or did it take a few
days?
 
I paid the application fee but the portal shows as it not being paid despite the charge showing up on my end. Anyone else having the same issue?
 
+1 IS complete email received today! submitted 8/6 (same day I received secondary)
 
Does the “complete” email take a while to receive after submitting your secondary? I submitted on 8/18 and did not get the email yet. Just curious if this is normal or if I am missing something.

Took me 2 weeks to receive complete email and I submitted the same day I received secondary!
 
I know they sent out their secondaries pretty late, even later than last year, but does anyone have any ideas on when we would likely start hearing back?

The admissions website says they’ll send IIs “beginning in September” 🙃 Website also says admissions decisions will be released beginning in October and will be rolling, so I’d imagine that IIs will be going out very soon! Definitely different than the December and Feb decision dates last year, so maybe they’ve kind of revamped their admissions process
