I think today they are reviewing who will be put off the waitlist since the deadline was submitting it on the 15th
 
just got this email from the bridge program 🫠🫠
  1. At this time, all seats in the D.O. program are full. However, when that changes, and a seat or seats become available, the NYITCOM Admissions Committee will return to the waitlist to review all applicants, including those who have been accepted to the Bridge program, and those who have committed to the Bridge program. Upon completion of the review, the Committee will make selections for acceptance to the D.O. program.

Well we kinda knew the class was full from the start. I think the more useful bit is the fact they meet and do a…what appears to be, a intensive review whenever a seat opens up. Espically since they “claim” the waitlist is unranked.

This tells my gut that they likely wait for a decent amount of spots to open before meeting to discuss, as doing a meeting after every single withdrawal sounds so inefficient.

So, this signals to me that y’all are in for the long haul for ppl who can wait it out. 😭
 
From what we have seen people have dropped their seats. So if those seats have been taken then no on posted about getting off the WL here or anywhere else.

Yeah the small sample size that we have here ig just isn't reflective of those who did move off WL
 
This just doesn't make any sense. Maybe like an old format for this bridge email was used and not edited to reflect this years info or something? Why did admissions tell a bunch of people WL movement had not started yet? We can see from the thread and admit.org that multiple people have withdrawn. If wait-list movement started already, I feel like at least ONE person would say something on here, reddit, or the GroupMe. I hope we get real answers soon because this is genuinely brutal 😭

i agree with this, they did send us the waitlist email on the 12th specifically saying they were beginning to experience movement on the waitlist. it has to be pretty unlikely that nobody has withdrawn. i do think it might have been a old format-type email lol, cuz if you look, on that waitlist email they first sent us on the 12th it had a typo saying that they were experiencing movement for the "entering 2024 class" when we are the entering 2025 class (hopefully!).

How long does it take to hear back after the interview for the bridge program?

can we assume at this point that we're all ****** and have no shot of getting in? it seems like we're just all on the waitlist for the sake of "having a chance" but there's no spots for us. might as well look towards next year RIP
 
my friend knows someone too who got off on the june 24th last year so there’s still a chance (i’m delusional). I am not sure if they have been chronically late about waitlist movement or this year just a really really strange year
