The board of reagents has officially renamed the school to the Naresh K. Vashisht college of medicine since November 2024. It was said ~10 million were donated, I’ve heard more like 50 by some people.

Enmed is in the process of becoming its separate college, this will likely be finalized before next cycle.

I hadn't seen any change in name on websites, web pages, and such, so I wondered if something had changed over the last few months

The rebrand is scheduled to hit towards the end of this summer. As currently planned, Class of 2025 will be the final class graduating with the Texas A&M University College of Medicine name on the diploma instead of the upcoming eponym of the donor from the oil/gas and fertilizer industries. Does anyone know if TAMU accepts update letters? Other Texas schools explicitly said they will not accept them, but I was wondering if it's worth to send one around April 30

If you don’t have any active applications pending in AMCAS (WLs or waiting on decision after interview) you don’t need to do anything in the CYMS tool.

Are you on a TMDSAS WL ?
You can stay on it until 5pm on May 15.
After that, if no new offers, A & M is your destination

Unless UTRGV is giving you money or you are from the area, A&M is considered a higher choice.

I have a question for anyone who applied to EnMed last year, did any of yall hear back super late but get accepted not waitlisted? Low key though, if someone interviewed in Sept for EnMed and still hasn't heard back, is that a soft R?
