when are the interviews coming? Seems like only EnMed at this point?I’m a current M3 at A&M - feel free to message me or ask on the thread if y’all have any questions!
What is your most/least favorite thing about A&Ms medical school🙂I’m a current M3 at A&M - feel free to message me or ask on the thread if y’all have any questions!
I’m not sure when interview invites are going out, but generally our first week of interviews is in the first half of August. So should be soon! 🙂when are the interviews coming? Seems like only EnMed at this point?
Most favorite: the people and the opportunities. I can’t speak highly enough of all of the staff, faculty, professors, and students. They all truly want to see you succeed - academically and personally. What is your most/least favorite thing about A&Ms medical school🙂
MD or Enmed. Congrats on your II!!+1 OOS II, complete 6/7, LM 77
MDMD or Enmed. Congrats on your II!!
Do you mean like what hours of the day or what dates? For those that received an II, through what time period does the interview last, I can't seem to find that info anywhere? I may have some conflicts with the dates provided thus far depending on the time it's held.
It is best not to plan other things on an interview day. Most interviews are all day long. For those that received an II, through what time period does the interview last, I can't seem to find that info anywhere? I may have some conflicts with the dates provided thus far depending on the time it's held.
I meant the time, so 8-10am for example.Do you mean like what hours of the day or what dates?
There’s is actually really short. They have an orientation on a separate day in the morning from 8-11 I believe and then the interview itself is for two hours around midday another dayI meant the time, so 8-10am for example.
Yes, they don’t have a firm deadline like some schools so it’s not too late.I need help to decide if I should submit my secondaries. It’s been more than a month since I received the secondary invite but was waiting for fee waiver. I won’t get fee waiver but still interested in the school. Is it worth submitting after more than 7 weeks?
Thank you. I will go ahead and submit my secondary app. It’s already written.Yes, they don’t have a firm deadline like some schools so it’s not too late.
They'll give you a folder with some blank sheets to take notes (pen provided too!). You won't need a notebook, and definitely not a laptop.Hello! For anyone who has already done an EnMed interview, what kind of things should we bring to the interview? Should I bring my laptop or a notebook? Thanks in advance 🙂
don't freak out, the very first interviews just went out Aug 8 so you have time.Could someone please give me some perspective. I was verified on 08/12 and have received secondaries from every TX school except A&M. I got all of them the next day essentially. I have my secondary ready to submit but radio silence. Kind of freaking out!! Especially bc I would need to request a fee waiver which would take even longer. LM:70
Set this thread to "Watch"Any idea when typically the second rounds of II will be sent out? I submitted my secondary 05 AUG, since I didnt get verified like the last week of July, and got my secondary shortly after.
Thank you but it seems like everyone has gotten their secondaries soon after being verified. It's been two weeks now. Would it be appropriate to call (preferably) or email admissions to confirm my status?don't freak out, the very first interviews just went out Aug 8 so you have time.
sure, plan what you want to say if you call, but an email creates a paper trail for you.Thank you but it seems like everyone has gotten their secondaries soon after being verified. It's been two weeks now. Would it be appropriate to call (preferably) or email admissions to confirm my status?
IS II today!
Thank you! Complete 5/31 and LM 68Congrats!! Good luck!! When did you complete?
Congrats!!! Did you have ties to A&M?Thank you! Complete 5/31 and LM 68
Thank you for sharing! I have similar LM and IS too, completed 8/20 so I'll keep my fingers crossed probs sometime next few months xDThank you! Complete 5/31 and LM 68
Nope no tiesCongrats!!! Did you have ties to A&M?
If you flew in the night before the hotel will hold it for you behind the front desk even after you check out. If your connection is really tight you can bring it to the interviewIm going to the EnMed in person interview and I was wondering if there was place to store my suitcase since I am trying to fly back home that night, would that be possible?
Not sure about A&M specifically, but I interviewed at another medical school and they let me keep my belongings in their office and it was a small interview cohort.Im going to the EnMed in person interview and I was wondering if there was place to store my suitcase since I am trying to fly back home that night, would that be possible?
Yes! They let me store my suitcase in a 1st floor office in the EnMed building. I went straight from the interview to the airport. I had a 7pm flight and made it with plenty of time as the interview day ends around 4:30.Im going to the EnMed in person interview and I was wondering if there was place to store my suitcase since I am trying to fly back home that night, would that be possible?
Not too late for your secondary, get it inI’m a Texas resident w a 502 mcat. I know it’s after Labor Day but would it be worth it to submit my secondary to this school or would it just be a donation at this point?
It’s always best to answer the question the way they ask it. Don’t feel the need to list every single one of their values but try to tie in at least one.For the second prompt, do you answer it with the specific values in mind or can you use it more as a why this school prompt? I have a decent why tamu essay that aligns with the school's mission but it doesn't really incorporate the values
Your MMI stations will be at set timesIf anybody has interviewed can you confirm what the day looks like? Is it an asynchronous MMI that we can take any time that day or is it at a specific time? Also since the orientation is held on a separate day, is the day we select on the calendar just the MMI itself?
Not sure what you mean by acting or non-acting, but yes you are able to write during the MMI -- on interview day they give you a little folder with some extra pages to write notes on. Good luck!is the enmed MMI acting or non-acting and am I able to write during the MMI?
