Okay, so TTUHSC is down due to a IT Hack outage, and I am scheduled to interview in the morning and have heard nothing back from calling or email, nor can we login to applicant portals. Anyone know of how they are handling the situation?

I believe that outage affected Lubbock, not El Paso
 
IT systems still down at TTUHSC.

Today they added a link where you can see any new info IT Outage Updates
So far, all the answers to the FAQs at this site are "we don't know at this time"
I suspect any interviews this week will be rescheduled.

Omg I was just about to ask is anyone not able to access their secondary or are calls to both schools being blocked 😭.

Nothing out of left field. Pretty normal MMI. The interview day itself is pretty bad though imo. They just show you videos for three hours. They could have just sent that in an email instead of forcing me to take a whole say off from my other responsibilities!!

anyone who interviewed already, did they ask any behavioral questions like 'tell me a time when ... '?

Yeah I just want to remind people that most interviews make us sign online agreements where we agree to keep stuff confidential. This makes it more fair -- how would it be fair for us to tell you what questions were asked when we had to go in with limited knowledge? just prep what you think is best and go in confident knowing that they liked you enough to give you an II
 
Anyone ready to place bets on when we’re expecting first round of prematches to go out?

I’m thinking the 17th but fairly certain I’m not getting one lol

Be optimistic and calm down, it's what it is. Don't let neuroticism destroy you
One more thing, if the email system is still down, you will not expect any emails coming. So...

Do you think they will extend secondary essay submission deadline. No access for a week now.
 
Not sure, I'm supposed to have an orientation this week but I have not received a confirmation email or anything. Who knows what gonna happen :shrug:

I’m not being neurotic lol but I’d rather keep my
Expectations low for a prematch than high and be disappointed. Also I know I had a mediocre/sub par interview so while I think I’ll match, not holding out for prematch lol

I don’t think the email system will be down till prematch offer week so my bets are still
On the 17th

Their IT system is still locked down
edited to supply new information:

I was able to learn that due to the system-wide shutdown they are not able to accept secondary applications right now. If you are still trying to submit one, hold on to it.
All current applicants should have received an email from Foster SOM about the IT issue.
Make note of the email address on that notification email : it should be a temporary "gmail" address which you will need to use until the Tech computer systems are functional again.

I signed up for an interview next week right before they started having issues with their system. I never got any confirmation email regarding the interview and I can't access the portal. Anything I should do? I'm really just tryna double check if I properly signed up for my interview day and when the orientation is gonna be.

They say "they will only reply to current applicants" who contact them here.

Do you think they’ll still send prematches next week with this temporary email or is prematch first wave probably delayed?

I know you won’t have the answer but I’m just curious for your thoughts

I don’t know the answer- they are dealing with an unusual situation for sure!
 
IT Systems / Admissions portal is back in operation at Foster SOM

Message was posted on Instagram @ttuhscep.fostersom today October 14.

1. If you were ready to turn in a Secondary you can try it now
2. (editorial comment 🙄) Why does TTU have such a multiplicity of IG accounts??
3. The temporary email address, in case you still have portal problems, is [email protected]
 
Do you guys think its too late/not going to help much, to send an update letter in like november pre interview for tmdsas schools if you just started a new research position?
