The EnMed interview day includes interviews with both EnMed and A & M staff. If a person is turned down by EnMed after interviewing, they can still rank A&M for match day as I understand it.For those applying to the ENMED program, is it possible to receive interviews for both ENMED and regular MD? Since they state they consider applicants for both, would you interview for both programs or, if given a chance, just at ENMED and then be evaluated for both programs based on that singular interview?
The way I understand it, one must be turned down for EnMed before they are considered by A&M and one may not get both admissions. The EnMed interview day includes interviews with both EnMed and A & M staff. To do this you should have checked both the A & M and EnMed boxes on your TMDSAS primary application.
EnMed itself is considered a dual degree or special program, and isn’t included in TMDSAS Match Day.
That being said, the release of acceptances roughly follows TMDSAS customary timeline, with many offers made between October 15 and February.
I think that is correct. The way I understand it, one must be turned down for EnMed before they are considered by A&M and one may not get both admissions.
In the past applicants have received emails asking them if they want to continue being considered by A&M once EnMed says they are no longer under consideration. It becomes harder for those who continue to be considered by EnMed how to rank during match because it is unclear if A&M can admit them because EnMed didn't during match based on some of the posts from previous years.

Thank you!! That makes more sense! The way I understand it, one must be turned down for EnMed before they are considered by A&M and one may not get both admissions.

at my interview day with enmed, they told us our interview with enmed would also count for admission to the regular md program at tamu. They told us that sometime before match day, we will find out if we got accepted to enmed or not -- even if rejected to enmed, i think we would have the option to rank tamu on our match list. For those applying to the ENMED program, is it possible to receive interviews for both ENMED and regular MD? Last year they sent their first prematches on October 16; it is safe to assume that they will likely be on October 15 again this year since that's the first available day 🙂Anyone know if A&M typically sends any pre offers and when?
the only two dates I saw today (I opened right as soon as I got the email) was Oct 8 and Oct 10, for next week :,)Hey, was just curious. What was the earliest date available for interview?
I saw it about 30 minutes after it was sent and only Oct 15, 16, and 17 were availableHey, was just curious. What was the earliest date available for interview?
Having an interview on oct 15 is scary business lolI saw it about 30 minutes after it was sent and only Oct 15, 16, and 17 were available
as far as I have seen...no... 😀Do they tell you how long you have to read the MMI questions and how long to answer?
Edited to correct myself- regular MD interview is MMI format this year.Do they tell you how long you have to read the MMI questions and how long to answer?
Actually TAMU switched to MMI this year, same platform as UTMB (kira talent)As far as I can determine, the regular MD interviews are two one-on-one interviews. You may be asked questions about yourself, or also questions about ethics or situations.
I believe the MMI may be for EnMed
Someone who has done the regular MD, please chime in on the format.
thanks for the updateActually TAMU switched to MMI this year, same platform as UTMB (kira talent)
By format people were asking if it is MMI - vs - a conversation with one interviewer ( that format is usually 30+ minutes of conversation).Yeah it's MMI, I don't think we're allowed to discuss format (according to contract)
I know they have one on 10/21 for sure but the other one could be 10/7 (assuming they do bi-weekly). I would email admissions just to be safe assuming you are interviewing before 10/21! Good luck!I know the dates for the interview orientation are either the Monday the week of or week before your interview; however, I forgot to make a note of the dates they listed in the portal and now cant see them. Does anybody remember what dates they had listed for October interviewers? I just want to plan out my week and knowing whether it is the Monday of or before tells me whether I need to get an exam for a class rescheduled or not.
