Would it be appropriate to use this essay to talk about a cheating IA I received for copying homework or should I just not answer it? I have heard that it is often a good idea to not bring more attention than is needed to an institutional action, but in this case, I feel like not answering this essay could be seen as me not owning up to my mistake fully so I'm not sure.

Also, if I should do this essay, would it be appropriate for me to mention the context that around 40 other students in my class also got caught for the same offense and received the same institutional action, or would this just be seen as me trying to make excuses for my behavior?

Not the right place to bring up the cheating again, for all the reasons you said. A low grade in one class ( if that was your consequence) isn’t a major event for this question. "All the other kids were doing it too" is definitely not what you want to write, in this essay or in your IA essay.

Remember to schedule your Casper exam. Duet is required.

Can I talk about my academic struggle during my first year in grad school, when I had a couple of Cs and Bs?

Do we think I can talk about a time in my research lab that I worked in as an undergrad? Or would this prompt be referring to academics and school related stuff only?

I believe "academic journey" is just referring to your college experience so you should be fine to talk about your lab work.

Is anyone else struggling to access the secondary application website right now?

Is this question: "Have you experienced any hardship or adversity, personally or professionally?" referring to significant adversity/hardship, or is it expected that all applicants talk about hardship/adversity they have experienced?

ie: is this a question meant mostly for people with extenuating circumstances or do they want all applicants to respond with an adversity essay?

Not all will write this one

Hello! I am applying early decision. Do we need to complete Casper+Duet for our application to be considered complete? I see they require Casper by November, so I assume they require early decision applicants to do it sooner?

Since ED applicants are supposed to get their decisions before October 1, it would be wise to complete the CASPer soon. Why give them any small reason not to choose you, by not completing everything you can?

would they even consider candidates who have not completed the requirements like Casper?

I don’t know the particulars of that for ED, @texasvandy but since it’s already a bold move to apply ED, it would be unwise to risk not meeting all the requirements

I had my secondary submitted early June, but my letters were not submitted until July 9th. Up until then I honestly forgot about Casper, I didn’t see any mention of Casper when TTUHSC sent an email about my ED application and emphasizing I need to have everything submitted by August (but didn’t hav Casper on the list). Will take the upcoming Casper exam though! Thank you!

My LOR is not uploaded yet but I added them on TMDSAS. Is it normal that it is blank on the portal? I thought it should still list my letter and just note the status as "pending" Lmk if anyone else also has a similar problem with this part of the portal.

I had issues with mine a couple months ago so I just emailed them and they figured it out

Is anyone else having an issue where the website doesn’t work/won’t load? 😭 It’s been this way for a few days now, just wanted to see if y’all are having the same issues

Perhaps it has something to do with the CrowdStrike outage. I have had some applications delayed due to system issues. Right now, the other secondaries are available, but I believe TTU uses a slightly different secondary application website. Did they make any announcements?
