Should I be worried if I didn’t receive secondary today? My primary was submitted on 5/28 and was verified. I am a WA resident and LM 69

@wysdoc
What is your childhood city, state, zip code, and county (matching the childhood city and state submitted in AMCAS)?
What is your high school city, state, zip code, and county (matching the high school submitted in AMCAS)?
List the timeframes you have lived in Washington State (does not include visiting; each time frame should be a minimum of 3 months consecutively). List as many timeframes as needed (Month/Year – Month/Year) to accurately account for your lived time in WA. This should not include time in college if you attended outside of WA.

Essay Questions (each <300 words):
1.How will you contribute to the mission and vision of the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine? Support your response with your experiences and/or attributes.
2. What experiences have you had with rural and/or underserved communities/populations? What have you learned from these experiences?
3. Describe your connections to Washington communities and your interests in practicing medicine in Washington.
4. How have you built your resilience?
5. Learning from others is enhanced in educational settings that include individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Please describe your personal characteristics or experiences that would add to the learning environment for your classmates.
6. If you are a re-applicant to WSU College of Medicine, describe what you have done since last applying to strengthen your candidacy for our medical school. If you are not a re-applicant to the College of Medicine, please leave blank.

im in the same boat, my guess is they are rolling it out in batches to not overwhelm their tech or something. i've gotten other secondaries so its not an issue on my end I wouldn't worry!

Yeah. I got an email requesting to verify my childhood addresses and submitted that form back the same day. They said it would take up to two weeks to process it.
did y'all get that email before you got your secondary or after?

are you sure cuz dude above with ii is 79 lmao
It says it on their admissions website that they blind your GPA/MCAT upon automated verification after receipt by the school's system.

WSU is also a mission focused school, so it's likely he is a strong mission (rural) fit and can write really well for why WSU is the ideal school for him- I mean the guys name is hillbillybuck lol I would bet my bottom dollar this dude is the perfect candidate for WSU!

who knows, maybe you'll get in! I think we will prob just get an interview a couple weeks after the first round since I imagine those are applicants who have rural experience like living or being born in that type of community.

Best of luck with UW friend, I applied there too and hope to get in there or WSU!

For what it’s worth, I have no experience with rural populations. I have really strong WA ties (lived here my entire life) and have a lot of experience working with underserved populations (in urban settings). Definitely not a death sentence though to not have an urban focused application (hopefully)

Dang, my assumption was wrong LOL

does anyone else's application say "under review" under application complete row? im not sure when i got that change lmao

I'm starting to get a little worried, I haven't received a secondary invite or wa state residency confirmation. I was complete on 7/22, WA resident. I'm a re-applicant and was almost immediately sent a secondary last time I applied. Anyone else in the same boat?

Did you submit three letters? You need all three to get a secondary apparently?

I read on this thread WSU is stat blind when they view the application does that mean LM doesn't matter for interview invite?
I submitted secondary August 12

I believe so. It can be hard to believe when you see all these high-stat folks getting IIs, but there is a big bias in that I would wager most of the people that utilize these forums are higher stat on average.

getting a bit nervous now haven't gotten any news about interviews yet

Does the portal look any different if you get an interview?

And any idea when the next wave of interview invites would be sent out?

Your portal will populate with information about interviewing once you review an II. You will receive communication for an II before you portal changes. If it hasn't changed yet then you're probably gonna still be waiting until the next wave of invites, whenever that may be! It's still early in the cycle and there's only been one interview date so far, so don't stress. The school has a roughly 50% acceptance rate post II.

To add to this, they’ve only interviewed ~40 applicants so far. This Friday is the next interview date where they will interview another 20ish. Last year they interviewed ~300 total, if I recall correctly. It’s very early in the cycle, no reason to stress yet.
