+1 IS II yesterday! Wondering if anyone can see any available interview dates? The next 3 months are completely blacked out for me...

+ 1 10/7, can someone clarify what eligible means exactly? We will either get an acceptance or be waitlisted?

It just means the committee deems you eligible to receive an acceptance. Between now and the first week of March the school accepts roughly twenty students at the beginning of each month for a total of 100 accepted students. If you’re not accepted during this time period you are moved from eligible to the waitlist. If you end up being moved from eligible to the waitlist in April you should be ranked closer to getting off the list than those who were placed on the waitlist from the get-go.

The eligible list is a ranked list the committee uses to decide who gets called for an acceptance and in what order; its intended to make the process equitable for those who interview at a later date rather than giving an advantage for those who interview early.

Hope this helps! This is info I have garnered from asking the admissions office and students who were accepted in previous cycles.

Waitlisted, interviewed 10/7.

Does anyone know how common it is to be accepted off their waitlist?

Do we think more calls will go out today/this month, or are they done until December??

According to last years thread, schedule calls went out on a Monday (Oct 30th) and the acceptance zoom meetings were made on a Wednesday (Nov 1st). The next batch of scheduling calls were not until Monday, Dec 18th. So I am guessing we can wait until mid December to hear anything else.

Does this mean eligible emails won’t be sent until then as well?

They’ll still be sending them out through the next few weeks! They send out eligible emails after each committee meeting where they discuss applicants. It’s only the dean meeting calls/A calls that are not till December

Does anyone know historically how many people who are marked eligible get accepted each year? I was marked eligible but have not received an acceptance and am considering re-studying for the MCAT but don't know if that is a waste of time. Thanks!
restudying for the MCAT would be useless for this school. They do stat-blinded admissions. If you are thinking about re-applying and increasing your odds at other schools then an MCAT retake might be a good idea it just depends on what your current score is and how the rest of your app looks. For this school it would be a better use of your time to beef up clinical experience or non-clinical volunteering I think.

Edit: I have no idea what percentage of eligible folks get As but I think its pretty early, you could get an offer any time between now and March.

+1 IS II!!! However, the only available days for the interview were in January. I am so excited about WSU; this is my first interview of the season!
Congrats!!! If you don’t mind, when did you submit your secondary?

Hi! WSU Interview question is the structured interview a group interview or it more like traditional style but just in 10 min chunks?

Does anyone know when the next committee meeting might be? I interviewed 10/28 and wanted to know if eligibility/rejection emails could be sent in November or is it gonna be after Dec

I have no idea but going off of when they did acceptances last year there might be a round of eligibility emails that get sent post thanksgiving but pre-christmasy/new years (again idk for sure just my guess based on last year)

What do you guys think about emailing the admissions team…? I submitted August and haven’t heard back about interview or rejection…. Just wondering where I stand ig

I'm in the same boat as you. I emailed them and all they said was I was still under consideration for an interview...

Yeah WSU seems to be pretty good about letting you know when a decision is made, so if you haven't heard they probably haven't made a decision about you yet
