congrats! complete date?
I was complete on 07/03.
congrats! complete date?
Hm, that doesn't necessarily mean that they're being reviewed out of order though. tbf, I agree with you, but maybe the other apps just weren't given interviews even after being reviewed chronologically.different person and while I don't have a source, just from what I've personally seen on admit.org since they show complete dates and interview dates is that most schools do review in order, but have special filters for students with X-factors like being URM or ultra high stats etc.
if you want just go to admit and click any school you're interested in and sort by interview date, and the complete dates tend to line up chronologically. pitt and umich are extreme cases for sure though like the previous person mentioned. the interviews that don't line up chronologically tend to have super high admit scores (meaning they have some sort of objective X factor)
Can you link the podcast? That sounds interesting for my neurotic brain hahatotally agree. they definitely pass people over and come back to them if they realize "we need a stats guy" or after seeing the next month's applicants realizing someone from earlier was better than expected or needed a second review (and using the staircase analogy LM always discusses). (this is all just my thinking though from what I've read, I'm going to listen to that podcast someone linked in the general forums where adcoms actuall discuss how they screen and stuff)
Complete 7/5*OOS II this morning! LM 73 🙂
What are some of her favorite things about it?Ahhh Congrats to everyone with an II, really want an II here haha. One of my best friends goes here and she loves it.
Those sound like substantive updates, in my opinion, and it may be reasonable to send an update letter if you haven’t sent any to them yet. I think this is especially the case if your application overall could benefit from additional clinical experience and research presentations/posters! Hope this helps!Should I avoid sending an update letter if my updates aren't "that substantive?" It seems they're looking for pretty significant updates: "You may send us occasional, substantive application updates if appropriate. Please send any such updates to [email protected] ..."
For context, I have a completely new clinical job I did not mention to them & like a couple of research posters.

problem based learning. “PBL is a teaching method in which students learn by actively seeking out information to solve problems. In contrast to lectures, in which the teacher delivers information to the student, PBL emphasizes active learning.”This is going to sound really silly but what is PBL?
You only find out the day of your interview, when the facilitator assigns you and the interviewer to a breakout roomFor people who have already interviewed, when did you find out who your interviewer was? Was it just before each or all at once, etc? Thanks.
What are some of her favorite things about it?
Thanks 🙂 week before thanksgivingcongrats!! when are they scheduling to ?
love me WCMC.pick me WCMC. choose me WCMC.
if you dont mind telling us, whatd u include in the update?+1 ii OOS, LM 77 - complete 7/14. Sent update letter last week. 11/11 🍀
Yeah, I had like 1 line thanking the committee for reviewing my app and then I provided 3 updates about activities. Without going into too much detail the first was related to a patent, the second was about a few additional private practices using a software I developed/improvements to the software, and the last one was a new publication. I ended w/ a few lines citing specific resources at Weill that would help further my goals. The whole thing was less than 1 page.if you dont mind telling us, whatd u include in the update?
most insane update letter I've ever heard of wtf 😭Yeah, I had like 1 line thanking the committee for reviewing my app and then I provided 3 updates about activities. love this, thanks so much! WCMC wasn't my top choice at first but after my interview it definitely became just that, such amazing faculty and students and institute opportunities. just with their post-ii acceptance rate wasn't so dang low 🙁((Recent alum here, applied to many med schools and my only acceptance was Weill Cornell. I probably didn't realize it then, but going here was the best thing to have happened. You learn from the best, you see things you wouldn't see anywhere else, our clinical affiliates are some of the top-ranked institutions in their specialities. You learn to fight for yourself and for your patients, while participating in cutting edge research unseen in many other places.
Now on the other side, I see first hand how it will train you to be a world-class doctor. Happy to share my experiences or any personal advice with interviews, just reach out via DM!
Right there with you partnerManifesting an ii here
My interviews had no stress test whatsoever. They were very conversational and incredibly friendly. No MMI.hey yall, I've seen mention of a stress test. I know ppl are saying it's not happening this year, but just wondering what it is? Also, are the interviews like a regular interview (no MMI)? I believe one person said it was a chill/nice interview and wanted to see if others thought the same. TYIA
I had the same question before mine, and it ended up being one of my more relaxed interviews - super conversationalhey yall, I've seen mention of a stress test. agree with this^ they spent more time trying to sell me than grilling me. genuinely enjoyable interviews, no stress testMy interviews had no stress test whatsoever. They were very conversational and incredibly friendly. No MMI.
Parts of my interviews seemed to be them trying to sell me on the good things about the school. It was an extremely positive experience, and made Cornell my top choice.
Just know your application and don't get too worried about this one.
Just emailed lol, will lyk when I hear back.anyone interviewing this week not received an email with links and interview times?
Congrats. Complete date?OOS II 😀DDD hehehehehehe
end of SeptemberCongrats. Complete date?
From the secondary application complete email that you would have received:on weill's website it says they accept updates but how do i send it? the portal doesn't seem to have an upload doc area
also wondering thisif we know we only will have 1 update letter between now and acceptances, do you think there's a best timing to send it out or should we just shoot it over?
and then save letter of intent if it comes down to that if we are on WL post-II?
