i interviewed 3/27 and haven't heard anything yet. since it's been 2 weeks since your interview have you reached out to them?Has anyone who interviewed 3/20 or around that week heard anything??
I haven't heard back from my email, but yeah it's been almost 3 weeks so I'm really confused.i interviewed 3/27 and haven't heard anything yet. since it's been 2 weeks since your interview have you reached out to them?
hmm super weird, i wonder what the holdup isI haven't heard back from my email, but yeah it's been almost 3 weeks so I'm really confused.
In my experience, they're a lot more responsive via email + I think they're getting bombarded with people asking about waitlists/intent/alternate statuses so that's why they might be taking a tad longer respondingAnyone else just going to voicemail when they try to call admissions lately?
Go by what your portal letter says! If you scroll earlier in the thread it's just a glitch with the system where they can't change it to say "accepting WL status" so it will say alternate no matter what.I got a notification on my portal saying I'm waitlisted (in bold), but the form I filled out says I'm accepting alternate status? So which is it I'm so confused.
For me my interview was honestly very chill and it got sidetracked for like 10 minutes of unrelated conversation. My interviewer was extremely nice. However my friend did have one where his grilled him and asked difficult questions that required a lot of thinking. MMI was fairly standard but the actors were very short with me. 30 and 10min respectivelyi just got II, OOS…. also how are the interview vibes?
Would love to know how long panelist interview & MMIs are!
I'm working these days so I just want to see if I have to take off.
Do you mind saying when the interview is scheduled for? Just curious how much time they give you beforehandi just got II, OOS…. also how are the interview vibes?

Thank you! so the entire process was only 30 mins? I'm asking because the website said 2hrs for the entire process with welcome from the dean, intro, ice breaker, presentations, and the interview.. so I was a bit confused hahaFor me my interview was honestly very chill and it got sidetracked for like 10 minutes of unrelated conversation. Sorry yeah the day is about 2 hours long. Interview itself was 30min. MMI day was about 30 min long with 10 min being the actual MMIThank you! so the entire process was only 30 mins? Yes! There are outdoor hikes, med prom, fitness events, and meetups organized by the student government. There is also a lot of sports stuff that students in the class of 2028 organize on their Discord, so I assume that the class of 2029 will do the same on their own Discord.Question for current students - are there any fun organized social events/etc that the school itself (rather than an individual club) hosts? I know some schools do things like formals, spirit weeks, outdoor trips, etc. Trying to get a feel for the culture of the school outside of academics!
It seems like they mixed up the wait list and alternate list this year. Wait list used to be the higher priority. You should see a lot movement starting in June when accepted students start making their final decisions. You should be good if you really like WesternU.Completed mmi on 4/12. Just recieved a status update. My letter says waitlist but on the portal I was asked to accept alternate status. Am I on the alternate list or wait list. Additionally is anyone aware of the movement of this school from the waitlist.
You sure it’s June???It seems like they mixed up the wait list and alternate list this year. Wait list used to be the higher priority. You should see a lot movement starting in June when accepted students start making their final decisions. You should be good if you really like WesternU.
Yes. You could see movement last until July. Do not give up until the white coat ceremony. I know someone in 2018 getting ready to move out of California and then got the good news. But, you will have to make a decision to forfeit deposit to the other school and apartment. You sure it’s June???
your standing is whatever the letter states, but you have to accept the “alternate status” in the portal in order to accept your waitlist position so I’d suggest doing it ASAP. I called the admin office to confirm because I had the same thing on my portal.Completed mmi on 4/12. Just recieved a status update. My letter says waitlist but on the portal I was asked to accept alternate status. Am I on the alternate list or wait list. This!!! I know a lot of people keep saying there’s good waitlist movement but have there been any alternate acceptances? On their page it says a good amount of alternates will get accepted but I haven’t seen anybody say it on last years forumwhat are the chances of getting off the list as an alternate? is there a chance i would i find out by end of june or is it cooked
Do you have a source saying they mixed up the waitlist and alternate list? Same, on WL. Western is playing us with these emailsgot a email today asking to verify my continued interest being on the alternate list, did everyone get this?
Did it also say confirm you interest as an alternate despite being on the WL for you?Same, on WL. Western is playing us with these emails
Yes just happened to me tooI just got another too but I got one yesterday too. However, yesterday's said confirm your interest in the AL and today's said confirm your interest on the WL (I am actually on the WL so this makes more sense). Did anyone else have this 2 days in a row with AL --> WL change?
