Could someone confirm this? Einstein's is rather extensive by separating it into a bunch of sections.

Anyone have experience with contacting their admissions team? I made a (small or big, depending on how strict adcoms are) mistake writing “NA” where I was supposed to specify my recommenders’ names, titles, and institution and submitted before noticing. Of course I have to wait until the weekend is over, but I was wondering if anyone knew how strict/lenient and how responsive they would be about something like this. I mean after all, they will still receive my letters via AMCAS Letter Service.

can anyone let me know if you have to designate which letters fill which requirements? trying to see if I can get away with just 1 stem letter lol.

Their website says, We require a premedical committee appraisal letter (preferred) or two letters from professors who taught you in courses (at least one in science).
So, I submitted 2 science letters.
But my secondary says two letters, one from science and one from your major. I don't have a letter from my major. Not sure what to do.

Just clarifying, this is on the secondary/school application/portal? You aren't able to change?

Yeah it’s completely on me, I thought I double, triple checked before submitting but it must’ve slipped past me because of all of the other “NA” responses. I’m hoping tomorrow they respond to email or if they like my application in the first place, they’d try to figure out. I can’t imagine it’s that egregious an error especially since they will receive my letters anyway.

Hi everyone, new to this secondary BS. For "As an undergraduate, I transferred from one college to another. If you answered, "yes" to the above question, please explain." am I expected to write in the same way I would my personal statement/TMDSAS essays? Or should I just answer the question about dual enrollment etc and leave it at that and not come near the 3000 characters? I'm assuming F and G will need to be written well, what about the other prompts?

Are they trying to intimidate you by the length of it to not apply?
But their app was like this, even before they went "free tuition"
Also, if nothing else changed on their app, the secondary doesn’t let you save your changes. You gotta fill it out all at once or lose your progress. God forbid it log you out of the portal because your computer went to sleep.

Their website says, We require a premedical committee appraisal letter (preferred) or two letters from professors who taught you in courses (at least one in science).
So, I submitted 2 science letters.
But my secondary says two letters, one from science and one from your major. I don't have a letter from my major. Not sure what to do.
If their website says something different screenshot it and send them an email. Not your fault you listened to what they said online and they change it after you spent money sending your app to them.
Honestly this program sketchy as hell. Goes on accreditation probation then has a huge donor come in to offer free tuition right after? Little to no transparency from them as well.

OOS received @wysdoc, same as last year but after every question which has a "if selected yes," there's now a "If your answer was, "no," please write “NA” in the box below." just for reference
Hi first time applicant here. Is it okay to simply write N/A for the prompt if our answer is no/situation doesn't apply and move on? Like I'm just a little hesitant seeing the 3000 character count for the prompt and if its okay to not elaborate and simply say N/A. Might just be neuroticism speaking.

Yes, that is their exact instruction. They don't need to hear how the prompt does not apply to you (ie you did not take time off, have a disciplinary action from school etc).

Okay thank you! Sorry I just freaked out a little seeing the character count and hearing advice from other irl to always elaborate.

I'm a little confused on this question. So my uni has a premed office that has a letter packet service - basically you fill out an application so that they can arrange a letter packet for you. I chose to send my letters individually, and I'm not entirely sure if the uni letter packet is the same thing as a "committee letter" if that's what they are asking.
Just a little stuck on how to approach this one.

To me, it sounds like they are referring to the committee letter specifically, which is different from the letter packet

Interview Feedback:

Hi! First time applicant! Quick question regarding the 2nd to last prompt from part B (about employment during the school year): I was a campus tour guide for most of college, and it was technically a paid position, but I only gave 1-2 tours per week for ~2hrs each + worked a couple admissions events each semester for ~6hrs each. Would this count as employment/should I answer yes? I assume it won't hurt to just enter everything and explain, but I wasn't sure if they meant employment as a bit more substantial/more of a time commitment than this. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you!!

If we are submitting a letter packet, is it okay if it doesn't have a letter from someone in our major? Or does it also have to? I tried emailing the admissions office but they never responded.

+1 OOS Secondary Received this morning at 7:20AM EST - Reapplicant MSTP

MSTP SECONDARIES EDIT (@chilly_md ):

Prior to the questions listed above, Einstein has the following MSTP-only short response questions. There are additional questions in between asking about prior research interest (select all that apply) and if you'd prefer your application to be routed to MD-only or PhD-only if not selected for an interview (dropdown) :

1. Please describe briefly the field(s) in which you plan to pursue your future research. We are looking for the big picture, Aging, Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Immunology, etc., not the specific focus (250 characters).

2. Please list your previous scientific presentations and abstracts. List all authors, abstract titles, name of meeting, and date of meeting. List each meeting on a separate line. Please do not include the text of the abstract (9999 Characters).

3. Please list publications on which you are a co-author. List each on a separate line. Include names of all authors, title, journal, year of publication, and volume and page number(s). Please do not list papers that are “in preparation.” (9999 Characters)

4. Please indicate which was your favorite course in college and why (3000 characters).

Is anyone else having trouble submitting the payment for the secondary? I haven't had issues with any other system but every time I try to submit the payment it says payment declined

quick question about one of the "history" options: if i am currently in my gap year (graduated spring 2025, applying this cycle for matriculation in summer/fall 2026), do i answer yes to this question:
  • I have taken at least a year off from school since college graduation, including this year that I am applying.

the wording is kinda throwing me off lol would appreciate any insight! TIA!

Hi there! I believe you should answer 'YES' to that question and then use the space to explain what you're doing this year (besides applying to medical school). You can write anything notable, regardless of if they're already in your work and activities, that will occur between your graduation date and when you'll matriculate summer of 2026.

Interview Feedback:

for the question: I can attest that I have fulfilled the Albert Einstein College of Medicine COMPETENCIES (Course Requirements | M.D. Admissions | Albert Einstein College of Medicine) for admission.

Can I just say yes? Or do i need to elaborate to explain how I fulfill these competencies?

I can't seem to access the page linked on their website that lists their student groups... seems to require a montefiore/einstein login. Has anyone found anywhere else where this info is posted? I want to mention involvement in tudent groups in one of my secondary responses. thx so much for ur help!!

this page (Clubs & Interest Groups | For Students | Albert Einstein College of Medicine | For Students | Albert Einstein College of Medicine | Montefiore Einstein) --> explore goes to a login window 🙁

For this question: "If you answered, "yes" to the above question, please tell us the year you applied, and whether or not you were interviewed, as well as the outcome. If your answer was, "no," please write “NA” in the box below."

Should I fulfill all 3000 characters? I answered the questions it's asking in one sentence, but I'm just wondering if there is more information that I need to put down.

regarding the LOR question: I accidentally assigned all six of my letters to all of my schools when submitting my primary - I wasn't aware that some schools had maximum numbers of letters allowed and haven't been able to edit my letter assignments. I see that Einstein only allows 5 letters - if i specify which 5 in this question would that be okay or do I need to contact them to correct the mistake? This also applies to any other schools that may have a letter maximum and i'm hoping someone else has experience dealing with this issue. thanks

Did anyone get a confirmation email after submitting their secondary? I haven't gotten one and wanna make sure it's fine

I received an email with the subject: "EINSTEIN - APPLICATION COMPLETE" a day after submitting my secondary

No please do not. That's all the information they are looking for with that question.

for the question: "I have received a grade of “F,” “D,” “I” and/or “W” during my college/graduate school years. If you answered, “yes” to the above question, please explain." I wrote about 1,000 characters describing some lessons learned from withdrawing from a class. Is this too long a response?

Is there a way to check the status of letters of rec (ie:have they received them) like other portals? Or is it just blind?

I got an "application complete" email that was distinct from my "application submitted" email. It came after my last LoR I had assigned was uploaded.

Thank you!!
Replying because I also had the same questions? Does anyone know if they want to hear about part time jobs? And for one year in college, my part time job was research assistant, do they want to hear about that again?

Is anyone else having trouble submitting the payment for the secondary? I haven't had issues with any other system but every time I try to submit the payment it says payment declined
Yes! I tried two different Amex cards and it didn't work, but when I switched to a Visa it did. I'm guessing they just don't take Amex even though it's listed as an option.

If we are submitting a letter packet, is it okay if it doesn't have a letter from someone in our major? Or does it also have to? I tried emailing the admissions office but they never responded.
Did anyone ever respond to you? I am in the same situation

If you read closely, the application itself mentions that they don't take amex, but for some reason still lists it as an option in the payment portal.
