Does anyone know if the class is full or if an alternate list (OOS) is basically a soft R...slowly losing confidence in myself and this process after 2 cycles of multiple waitlists and 0 As😞
 
+II for second choice campus

I'm honestly not sure if I can make the trip to interview in person, and already arranging gap year plans. Would it screw me next cycle if I didn't make the interview?

If you could make it though, you could see the place for yourself and form a better opinion, and if accepted not have to reapply. Seriously consider..

This is what I'm leaning to. I'm pretty slammed schedule wise but I want to at least keep options open. My personal statement was pretty bad and I didn't hear much from schools this cycle so I was pretty surprised to get something from uky this late.

I interviewed at my second-choice campus (BG). Did that take me off the interview waitlist at Lexington? Like did I give up my chance to get interviewed there? Definitely not upset if that is the case, just wondering.

Also how soon did y'all hear back after your interview? Especially if you interviewed at a satellite school.

I interviewed at BG and heard back in 2 weeks. Got put on the Alt list. I am OOS

Have you reached out to them? I interviewed a week around the same time and they told us that they would respond in 2-3 weeks

If you interviewed at BG you wont be offered admission to Lex, unfortunately. Sometimes ppl who interview at Lex get offered admission to satellite campuses just bc the lex spots are in higher demand.

haha sorry for my lack of explanation, my interview at BG was a week ago! I meant I interviewed at a TX school in October and still haven't heard anything (and that's normal sadly)

It's so nice that UK tells us faster. Can't wait to find out

I (OOS) interviewed in December last cycle and ended up coming off the waitlist in early May. As I remember, there wasn't much waitlist movement until then. I would say if you're being put on the waitlist after the class has filled, there's a chance they would have accepted you had the class not been full already. If anything, you have a better shot at coming off the waitlist than applicants waitlisted earlier. I say this because when I was pulled off the waitlist, I also got a scholarship. If you have questions, I'd be happy to answer. It's a great program, and I have really enjoyed my time here so far.

I figured they mean they were waiting til Friday to pull from the alt pool. I’d be shocked if every school wasn’t currently “oversubscribed” since the April 30th deadline hasn’t hit yet
