2025-2026 Tulane

If I received a new letter of recommendation today (my app has been complete and under review with Tulane, emphasizing that this in additional letter), would it mess the process up to designate it to Tulane on AMCAS?
 
is it considered too late to submit a secondary at this point? i received a secondary on 7/28 but have been flooded with personal responsibilities, so haven't been able to submit yet.

Not at all! The general rule of thumb is that submitting secondaries before Labor Day is considered on time. Does Tulane use rolling admissions more than other schools and the earlier you submit the higher your chance of an interview invite? Yes. But every cycle, there are plenty of applicants who submit secondaries in August or even September who receive interview invites and acceptances. As someone who has a full time job during this process, just do your best.
 
I submitted on 6/30 and got the under review email on 7/06. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am confused why I haven't heard anything when many that submitted after me have because I always heard that Tulane went in chronological order? Thanks😊

thank you for your response! this was super encouraging, was just wondering because i know tulane is one of the schools that values earlier submission, like you mentioned, but you've definitely motivated me to submit still! thanks again.
 
+1 Under Review (primary submitted 05/28, secondary submitted 07/16).
 
Got this email today but I submitted on 7/17/25 and got a complete status then:

We would like to inform you that your application is complete and under review. You will receive another email once a decision is made on your application. We thank you for your continued patience with the application process and we wish you success.

If you would like submit additional items to your application, you can upload those items to your application portal under, the "User Profile" tab. From there you will select "Document Upload". All items must be in a PDF format. This will be the only way to provide updates to your application.

LOL so true. I spent the first 21 years of my life in NOLA, my entire family including extended still lives there, I have a service heavy/primary care focused app, and they still put me on hold.

I submitted 7/30 and haven't heard back yet. The only communication I got was the following email upon submission, but it may be that I'm still waiting to be marked under review:

"We would like to inform you that your application is complete. Your portal will have a red exclamation point stating you are in progress and this will remain until you are assigned to a screener. Once assigned, the checkmark will turn green and your application is now considered under review. You will receive another email once a decision is made on your application. We thank you for your continued patience with the application process and we wish you success."

You can check the activity on the live view cycle track on admit.org and try to see if someone that submitted their app/secondary around the same time as has had any status changes but it looks like their processing early July rn

When did you receive an under review email? I am in similar boat. I was under review on 7/13. My two schools of thought are that 1. I have a slower screener than others 2. They werent ready to make a decision so put it for review by another screener. But honeslty who knows how these things work.

Hey so I definitely got it mixed up lmao. I was complete 6/30 but under review on 7/06. But yeah who knows what's going on let us hope lol
 
I submitted on 7/13 and have yet to get an "Under Review" email. The only communication I've received has been an "Application Complete" email on 7/18, saying that a red exclamation mark on my portal should change to a green check mark when I'm assigned a screener. Is this the same as the "Under Review" email? Just wondering if anyone can provide some clarification!

You should receive a separate email saying “under review”
