My mouse is not working well on my laptop so I have to use keyboard shortcuts and it's really annoying. Therefore I will probably not post again until I buy myself a mouse.

Didn't read the entire thread because scrolling takes forever, but from what I read I don't really have many feels. So rng lynch vote

I can't imagine how your laptop must be designed because I almost never use a mouse.

Is this second part to me? Because I can't make it not a tie -- I'm already voting for Stagg, and probably am not going to move my vote now even if I had wanted to, because now it's also self-prez

Kara posted in the intro about what happens with ties, yeah? I think she mentioned it but I forget what it said

I don't even have my laptop right now -- haven't had it for a week. Therefore, I am not particularly sympathetic, and I think it's a little convenient to drop that and peace out

Will try and be on if possible, but back at the hospital with my wife so no promises. She’s doing okay right now but waiting to see if she may need to be readmitted.

This confuses me given some of your likes in thread and not sure why a joke vote sketches you out...

A heads up since I don’t think you played Colorado or have been a tot with me, I tend to joke around a lot early because I think early game analysis is pretty useless until later. It’s also why I RNG on D1.

Reaction? Not sure what you mean.

Reason: I voted for you because using RNG to try to explain a retaliatory vote felt a little weird to me. Kind of overly jokey on the heels of the fake Cheezit vote

As much as I don't like cheat revenge voting for me on D1, it's not unexpected, and I feel like pushing me up into a tie like that would backfire hard when I flip. So, maybe less likely to be wolfy

Snowy putting a second vote on someone and then peacing out feels more sketchy to me because it's again over-justifying "RNG"

Willing to give Stagg the benefit of the doubt for now because I'm a softie and don't learn from mistakes 😛

Welp. Am going to go work out and then have dinner plans.

Probably won't get much of a defense from me, other than that I feel like I've been engaging people so far and am therefore kinda bummed to be in the lead on D1, particularly when there doesn't seem to be much justification behind the votes for me.

Was really excited to get to play again after modding 🙁

Reaction as in voting for for me to see how I'd react. Was just curious since you didn't give any reasons initially.

It actually wasn't retaliatory, was a real RNG and I laughed when it came up because I knew someone would say it was retaliatory.

Though MJ's Stagg vote isn't giving me much motivation to switch. Drop a vote for the current leader and peace out? That's a step up from not voting, I suppose, but not by much.

frankly, some more than others

AM is one of those. Just saying the logic of "let's save this person they're a good villager" isn't as awesome when you know they're like a mastermind wolf when they are a wolf. It's fine if you want to save AM at this point, but I'm mostly tearing about* people's reasoning, because, well, that's one way to find wolves.

confused, you think this is less likely to be wolfy on Snowy's part, but you're voting there anyway? Or are you really taking this as a sign of lycanthropy in a WIFOM scenario? (I'm not against a WIFOM scenario here, and voting accordingly, but I'm trying to clarify here)

Nope, I was saying that pushing a villager lynch up into a tie -- with that rapid timing -- would look bad for cheat when I flipped, so therefore I am inclined to read her vote as somewhat less wolfy.

Snowy, on the other hand, put in a vote that I felt had more actually wolfy timing/positioning

I guess it's a little WIFOM-y, but it's more just that I feel like cheat's vote grabs attention in a way a wolf might want to avoid on D1, if that makes sense?

case in point, allieh might be busy, WM did show up somewhere I think, but what about SP and katashark? Doesn't SP respond to pressure too?

pressure voting D1 is just as sketchy as RNG in my mind, one is possibly wolf trying to absolve oneself of the reasons for voting and the other is trying to claim altruistic motives. It's like polar opposite approaches and both annoy me.

While we're on the topic, the reason saying RNG always feels disengenuous to me, is because unless you actually draw names from a hat or the like, then your vote is not random. This means there are reasons for your vote choice, and even if you claim there isn't then I'll just say it must be subconscious then. Unless of course you're a wolf, in which case I doubt subconscious > strategy. I don't buy that wolves have random D1 votes, either. But they definitely aren't going to give their real reason (dirty rotten wolf, is why). So claiming innocence on your vote choices is just sketchtastic to me. LAL lynch all liars. Don't lie D1 there's no reason for your vote folks, especially if you are village.
 
OK that was a little black and white about the topic. I'm not big on pressure voting, but I can't claim I haven't seen it have beneficial effects when others do it.

Unless it's wolves putting the pressure on, lol.

What do you guys think? Thoughts on pressure voting? Is D1 too early? God I hate the RVS (random voting stage).

I like pressuring on D1. It tends to get more people talking, and more to analyze later on is never a bad thing. But, I also don't always see pressure voting = pressing for more discussion
