Back to the Basics? WW Game Thread

My fault as well as STL's. I kept writing Epi and I think STL wrote Epi meaning Saya.

Everywhere I said 'Epi' it should say 'Saya'. I presume that's true for what STL posted.
Yup, I was referencing back the idea that rojo thinks that sayabear is now epivet. In any subsequent write ups, I will use sayabear to avoid any confusion.

Sigh.

It's like there's an idiot cloud hanging over this game.

My "issue" with being seered is that it's a waste. Which is what I just said, so I'm not sure why you're asking what my issue is.

But if you really, really, really want to spend time seering me, in spite of Dyachei sticking up for me, Rojo being able to confirm my ability, and the frickin' mod pretty much telling you straight out what my role is ... hey, whatever, go for it.

And I can read the write-up, Escalla. So don't you think there's a <reason> that I said attacking her tonight might be a good idea?

Jesus Christ. I give up. I'm going back to playing this game as if I'm nyanko. Everyone's being a total n00b; I'm not going to waste my time.

Yet you haven't thrown this much of a fit before. If the knife wasn't a component then I would agree, but it is. I don't think anyone is doubting your role or role ability, but I'm not convinced it's a guaranteed villager.

So given that, I don't think it's a waste. FFS, it's not like I'm trying to start a lynch on you.

So call me a noob and all you want....

Great. Then just shut up and seer me so that we can waste a night of seering just to have someone post "Hey guize, guess what! LIS is the prostitute!"

.... which we already know.

You're too smart for this, Escalla. You know it's a waste of time. MJ .. I get it ... he's a n00b and kinda all over the map to begin with. But you're smarter than that.

Well... you almost got me, but you'll have to work harder than that to kill me. I have several "family" members that must first be dealt with, they protect me until their dying day. Good luck...

I think it's unfair to try and bully anyone out of investigating you.

The knife is worth checking out. That's all I'm trying to convey.

If you're clear, then nothing need be said by the investigator tomorrow. They can make their own decisions.

I'm not bullying, I'm making my case. Clearly and logically.

And, you're comparing apples to oranges when you ask why I'm "making a fuss" now. I normally wouldn't make a fuss because normally there wouldn't be so much evidence that I'm a villager so normally I would say "sure, please investigate me". But in this game right now there is PLENTY of evidence I'm a villager, and yet you and MJ (and apparently Gwen, whoever that is), seem to be super dead set on making sure that whatever villager seering capability we have is directed at someone who probably has the most public evidence of anyone in the game that they are a villager.

Which makes absolutely zero sense.

Anyway, whatever. I'm done arguing about it. You guys want to waste seering, be my guest.

There is plenty of evidence that you're indeed the prostitute. That is not what I'm doubting.

You were stabbed by a knife that has been said to be an item that provides self-defense. Why? How can we possibly know that the prostitute is undoubtedly good when that comes up?

I'm saying that there's enough doubt that it's worth checking out. That will also answer whether the stabbing in the write-up was fluff or not. I don't think STL has been fluffing that much with major events like that, so I think it has merit.

It is one night. Not a big effing deal.

So I leave it to the seer.

Your fellow wolves should teach you to not give the villagers help when they are floundering... Not that I believe you for one second

I understand your reasoning, but I think you're being awfully rude in your responses. We'll get .. what .. 10 nights worth of seering in this game. Maybe. That's a super big vague generalization, but it's probably not too far off; we'll get somewhere in that number before our seer is killed or converted or whatever. So you want to spend ~10% of our villager seer capability answering a question that isn't going to gain us any actionable knowledge. <That's my point.> You're going to seer me. It's going to say "Wow. LIS is the village hooker who can block" .... and you know nothing more than before.

If you think the knife is a big question that has to be answered ... that's cool. I don't actually have the faintest idea <what> is up with the knife (though I know it didn't have anything to do with me). But I can promise you this: seer'ing me isn't going to get your question about the knife answered.

So when you say "Not a big effing deal" I view that as blowing off a really legitimate argument. Every seering opportunity ought to be used in the most efficient and practical way possible because we have a more limited quantity of them than people really ever realize. Seering me, right now, in this game, is not the best use of that ability.

I mean, if yer that concerned, you'd probably be better off lynching me and seering someone else. All I can do is block, and that's not really a majorly important ability we need around. But at least that way we might use our seering to find a wolf.

Well, I apologize if I've come off as rude. That has not been my intention at all. I got rather annoyed at your comment dismissing this game due to everyone playing as a noob simply because we disagree.

However, I think you're really valuable regardless of your role and I wouldn't want to lynch you, so that's why I'd rather investigate to get this figured out. I realize that it's probably incredibly frustrating from your POV if you are being 100% truthful (I have of course been there), but I've simply tried to convey that it shouldn't be brushed off with this item. Lynching you or investigating you is really the only way to get it answered, since that if you are clear then we can pretty much disregard what STL is putting in the write-ups regarding the stabbings.

If my paranoia with his statement about including hints within the write-ups is unnecessarily off the charts, then so be it. I'll be the first to admit I was off and I have no problem doing so.

In the end, I obviously don't control who does what and only wanted to present my reasoning that it wasn't a bad idea to clear you in opposition to you saying it would be stupid. Whoever has the means to investigate can decide themselves what they think is best.

We begin the night in the same bar as last night. I guess LIS still has not learned her lesson, as she is back at that same bar, this time flirting with a different guy. This time, she has a different purpose in mind. She fends off advances from multiple guys, waiting for one particular man to walk through the doors. Eventually, he walks through the doors in a very expensive, Italian suit. She waits for him to order a drink and then walks up to him.

"Hey, you look like you can use some company tonight." she says in her most seductive voice. "Why don't you buy me a drink?"

"What do you drink?" He coldly states, seeming fairly uninteresting.

"A martini would be nice."

"Bartender, 1 martini, extra dry, extra slutty."

"Are you trying to get my drunk?" she says teasingly.

"Yes, actually I am." LIS is wondering why the man is coming off extra cold. Does he know what she is planning? He can't, how could he?

"Let me freshen up for a second. Watch my drink once he makes it?"

"Sure."

The man seems lost in his own thoughts. What if he had taken a different path in life? What if he had decided to be something different, maybe something greater, maybe something more insignificant? While he is lost in his own thoughts, he completely doesn't see the person walk up to LIS's drink. He doesn't see the eccentric man with circular rimmed glasses and short stature pour a small vial into her drink. He also doesn't notice him subsequently leave the bar immediately.

LIS returns from the bathroom and immediately takes a large swig of her drink. "Okay, if I put on all the moves, I am sure I can get him back to my place." she thinks to herself. "Then... welll...." she softly chuckles to herself.

"Why are you laughing?" the man in the fine Italian suit asks.

"No reason, I just didn't expect myself to be flirting with a guy as handsome as you tonight." she says, lying through her teeth.

"Heh. You are beautiful, but I am not going home with you tonight."

"Why not?"

"Because you are barely able to use words right now. You are drunk out of your mind. It wouldn't be right for me to have sex with you. No matter how pretty you are." With that the man gets up and walks out of the bar, leaving the drunk LIS behind. He laughs to himself. "Nah reeassooonnn, I jus didant aspect mahself toby firsting writ a guy ash antsome as you tonight." No way would he have sex with a girl that drunk.

The man decides to go to the church after this, for he has not been to confession in awhile. He knew the priest would still be here, the priest is used to late night confessions. He walks through the front doors of the church and head straight to the confession box. "Forgive me father, for I have sinned. It has been a long time since my last confession. Here are my sins."

"Continue my son." Responded @WildZoo the priest.

"I have killed people, multiple people father. I have never done it erroneously. Each kill has had a purpose. A reason. I do it to protect the ones I love, and to protect the idea of what this city can be. I wish I didn't have to, father, but I need to."

"It is okay son. But you do not need to continue with this. You can make things right. End the killings. Even kills with a purpose are still kills. And kills are sins. "

"Father, it is never that black and white, now is it? What if you are killing a serial killer? What if you are killing someone who has threatened the ones you love? Would you not protect them? Would you allow the ones you love to perish?"

"Why have you come?"

"I have come to apologize for what I have done. And for what I must continue to do. And to ask for forgiveness."

"But if you are continuing to do what you are saying, are you truly asking for forgiveness?"

"I think so. But maybe my morals are lost... Maybe..."

"Son, all I ask is this, stop your killings and you shall be forgiven. It is not too late."

"I should go father. But thank you."

The man in the fine Italian suit leaves the church and starts walking down the street. All of a sudden, there is a loud explosion. The man in the fine Italian suit looks behind him. The entire church was in flames, and it is quite unlikely that anyone survived. Dead is Wildzoo, The Priest who could have protected villagers from being converted to skeletons, and who had the ability to revive 1 person as of this night.

The night does not end here. The man in black decided to visit @hedgiehog last night. He walks into his house very calmly, knowing what he must do. Voices could be heard in the other room. One, which he knew, Hedgie, the other which he couldn't quite make out.

He hides behind one of the couches as they walk into the room.

"Hedgie, I need you to take care of this. Please do not let me down."

"Anything for you, my godfather." Replies Hedgie.

A door opens, and then shuts. "I need a beer." Says hedgie to no one in particular. He grabs one, opens it, and sits right behind the couch. That's when he feels the gun right on the back of his head. "I know who you are Hedgie, you cannot be allowed to survive. You would interfere with all of my plans."

"Do your worst, we know who you are. If you keep coming for us, you will end the same way I am about to."

With that, the man in black pulls the trigger. The bullet goes straight through his head, blowing his brains out. Dead is Hedgiehog, the mafia bodyguard, a wolf.

Hmmm....now is Hedgie the only bodyguard is the question....great job to whoever took her out! 👍

You've got to be kidding me. I blocked the person who killed WildZoo, but somebody drugged me?

Very nicely done, whoever did that. I could have prevented WildZoo from being killed.

Sigh.

Oh and out, damn spot! Out I say!

Ok. So it ought to be clear from the write-up that I tried to block the person who killed WildZoo, but that somebody (either a smart wolf, or a dumb villager) thought it would be good to block me.

Does this write-up satisfy your concern about my villagerness?

And... you are the Director's latest toy? Hahaha.

Yes, it does. I had previously held a lot of suspicion for another reason, admittedly, but that is no longer important. 🙂

Although on the flip side, I guess I may have ended up blocking Hedgie's death, too. That would have sucked. So... all in all, I take it back. Decent outcome. One villager for one wolf is a good night.

I'm misreading something, apparently. Never mind. I'll try and figure it out when I'm off my phone later.

Yeah. I originally skimmed the write-up quickly and thought the man in black killed WildZoo and someone else killed Hedgie. (That's why I posted my first post....) Then I re-read it and realized that it sounds more like the Man in Black killed both WildZoo and Hedgie.

Anyway. I'm still willing to name the person I blocked (it's no big surprise).

This is assuming it was the Italian suited dude who set fire to the chapel.

Yes. I'm making that assumption. It's not beyond doubt in the write-up, but it seems fairly clear.
