So it looks like we've answered our question about whether or not there are multiple killing factions

PSV was also concerned about me, but that was early D1 and I don't know if she kept feeling that way later in the day.
 
Alissa and Lawpy both feel like weird NK choices for scum, since they had a moderate amount of suss on them. They may have been vigilante targets?

Eh Lawpy still could have been a scum kill. Many others in the core POE for a vig to take out. I agree on alissa though.

Potentially a outright lie or more likely used for ability. I would expect Wonder to know outright that Lumi was lying about about the goo.

And maybe Chaos felt safe picking it for the fake claim, knowing his packmate had it in their roles.

Interesting, wolf black goo would actually be a fun ability. Insurance against seers/trackers outting you through mutually assured destruction.

I guess, but you'd still be setting yourself up to create another faction to deal with in meeting your wincon.

Did we ever resolve whether or not a wolf vigilante would be able to make their kill separately from the factional kill?

Okay I asked and yes, they would be able to use it on the same night as a factional kill

I don't want to get too deep into NK analysis, but given that there are four kills, I'm currently operating under the assumption that we have at least one Wolf and one Mafia Goon, plus either a two Vigilantes (of either village or scum alignment) or one Vig and an Alien who decided to use their single factional kill last night.

But I guess with so many powers in play, it could have been a lot of things. Might need to go clicking through the list today.

I don't really think it's worth the time and energy involved to try to figure out who did what kills last night. There are too many possibilities for it to be useful at this point.

I agree, let me rephrase:

Based on the number of kills it is most likely (bordering on extremely likely) that there are multiple scum factions.

We suspected that yesterday due to the nature of the game but now it's basically confirmed.
 
Skimming through last night, looks like there’s a lot of goo talk, which brought me back to this

So this is lumi’s goo reveal, and honestly in my opinion it sounds like they posted this without being up to date on the game thread, with how they’re complaining, it’s an introductory post. it’s just not in sync with the game going on around them. plus the lack of calling out chaos directly in relation to the goo. So my question is what if they coincidentally had the same plan as chaos, claim goo to hide their scummyness? And posted their claim unaware that chaos had already done the same thing, because they maybe hadn’t gotten to that part of the thread yet? I just can’t get over the tone, that this post isn’t trying to call out chaos for lying about goo.

Lumi already said they didn't realize that the goo card could only possibly have been used once and that they hadn't caught up on the thread when they claimed. I'm inclined to believe it because if town why lie about that and if scum it would have made less sense to make the claim at all if those two things weren't true. But I don't think it really tells us anything about Lumi's affiliation.

So I do still like my wonder theory.

You seem certain about genny, and I’m not unwilling to consider that, it’s not like I’m known for reading her correctly, and I’m leaning you village this game, so if you’re sure, I’m willing to consider.

I’m torn on True. So many dead village voices had him in their POE. But I’m personally not sold. He reminds me of the True I fought with a few months ago in Stardew where he was a bit prickly but ultimately village.

I need to see more from Stagg Mayo obviously. Stayo? Mayggo?
I feel mostly okay about Alley but her attitude about yeeting Lumi for the fancy play just because it was a “Lie” tickles me. Something’s weird about that. Like imagine if I’d been yeeted in LaWWpy just because I “lied” to Dina about being a Lost wolf? It feels like an easy way to just “stick to your guns” and cause a village misyeet which I don’t like. Particularly one with a powerful PR (I believe the bloodhound claim). But like I said, I mostly feel good about Alley, it’s just that one little thing that tickles me.

I need to see a lot more from Woxy.

I’m not unwilling to consider MK given multiball and idk what I’m doing but she wouldn’t be my first choice.

In general I really have the same problem I had last year with CYO where people who are scum are legitimately scum hunting.

Look I know my village play needs work. Open to advice because it’s really defeating to try and play village and still end up in multiple POEs. I know I’m rusty because I haven’t played and I honestly don’t think I’m a strong player to begin with, but being vigged makes me want to go back into retirement again

I feel like you’re making an assumption about what he would do in the moment, and you can’t possibly know that.

Like if I was in Chaos’s shoes, I’m saying I wouldn’t do that. I’d maybe try to pivot the way he did.

My best advice is just play more tbh
That's the only way you shake off the rust, plus then people have a chance to get more used to your play and the unfamiliarity factor starts to wear off.

I also was intrigued by your wonder theory. I will say I would be shocked if wonder was the one who stumped me because I don’t think I really voiced any disbelief of her claim.

Another note is I will be sharing my spreadsheet when I get home to a computer to update it. Nothing happened to me last night other than being treestumped. Though I told AM my night action was to pour her a nice glass of vanilla milk and then while she was distracted, secretly send a plate of microwaved eggs to zenge. Doubt this actually happened lol

Literally have been confirmed village and that I’ve been tree stumped by mods. Keep in mind that I pretty much went silent during anniversary after I was stumped because it was to my benefit to not say much and screw things up for the team. I am still here and willing to contribute to village granted that I’m not yeeted or killed again (can these things even happen to treestumps?)

Abilities

  • During the Day, you may vote for whomever you want eliminated.
  • Factional Kill: The Aliens may kill one player once during the game.
  • Factional Communication: If there are other Alien-aligned players, there will be an Alien QT that can be used pre-game and during the Night.
  • Bloodsucker: During the Night, you may PM me the name of another player. That player will turn into a Treestump (they will be unable to vote or perform actions for the rest of the game). No Alien may perform the factional nightkill on the same night that you do this.
