Emory is a better school. Why are you considering Rochester? Their curriculum?

I really liked both places when I interviewed. Yes, Emory is higher ranked for research than Rochester, but Rochester is much higher ranked for primary care. So, it really depends on what you're looking for.I thought that the facilities were much nicer at Emory, but I also really liked how patient-centered Rochester's curriculum is. Students at both places seemed to really enjoy being there. If you've been accepted to both, then thats a great problem to have. I don't think you'll make a bad decision either way.

I think that although Rochester may be ranked higher in primary care, you would be pretty hard-pressed to say that Emory lacks in primary care experience with about 60-70% of clinical rotations occurring within the Grady system. You will not lack in patient exposure.

That said, I am also trying to decide between Emory and a school in Chicago. Weather, culture, money, and the school will all play into my decision.

not sure if serious. Emory>>>>Rochester. You will have 6 months more clinical experience than other medical students which will make you look better during audition rotations for residency. CDC and Emory have great research opportunities. Atlanta is a pretty amazing city. Also the COA is similar, I am honestly unsure why you are asking for opinions...

just trying to get some outside opinions. i did really like both schools for a lot of reasons - atmosphere was great at both, both have good curriculums with lots of positive points, and both are ranked pretty well. I think i am leaning towards Emory but was just wondering if anyone was going to make a point i hadnt considered yet.
