For me it partly has to do with the flow of how I read the thread. Maybe because it came in early from a noob. Seemed a little early for "what have I gotten myself into" unless of course, you just rolled wolf.

Well, that's opportunistic, not a bandwagon. A bandwagon is a lot of votes piling on someone in a short period of time. The verb means the act of being part of those multiple votes. The definitions (verb vs noun) do not contradict under any circumstances.
