Thanks for the update! It's good to remember that we're closer to the beginning than the end, even with interviews starting to get released.

It was fine. Like regular interview just on zoom. Similar questions like tell me about yourself. I wanna get to know you. 2 people in history you would talk to. Bringing 2 books on an island which ones? Was fine until I realized I didn't get in because they gave calls yesterday.

I submitted my PASS application and checks the day it opened, but my IEF wasn’t submitted until weeks after. A friend also submitted the day it opened but with the IEF and got his “application complete and under review” emails weeks before I did. My guess is it does make a difference. Have you given your dean a gentle push? I had to send quite a few follow up emails

Did anyone receive an email from Penn to say they have received/reviewing their application? One of my friends has applied there but hasn't heard anything since submitting his application

I received an email from them on 5/27 stating "Your application is complete and will be reviewed by the graduate dental program's Admissions Committee in the coming weeks."

It’s likely very important. I don’t think most programs would consider reviewing your application without one, but that’s just my guess. I have not met anyone who did not submit an IE and received an interview but maybe someone is here on SDN who has.

I spoke to a program co-ordinator about this at a program that does not participate in PASS. They said that it would not interfere with interview selection, as quite a few applicants were having this issue. Hope that helps

Its possible that the programs that dont participate in PASS won't let it affect your application much however I think its imperative for PASS. I struggled with getting my dean to submit mine too. But unless it was in, all my applications were showing 'received' but not 'complete'. Except one program, no one cashed my check before the IEF was submitted and I doubt anyone even looked at my app until then. Ofcourse, this is just my experience. Maybe others have had a different experience. I would really push your dean or their office to submit it ASAP. Despite COVID, they have the duty to do official work for their grads or alumni. You must relay to them that its highly important for you to get it in soon otherwise there's no point.

i was tasking to myself the same question... My school is extraaaaa slow for the institutional letter.
Does anyone have the answer to that question?

They don't have an application fee. And I didn't hear from them until a phone call yesterday
 
Hi all, I have a question about the PASS application. In the "Check Status" section, under the transcript section for your dental school, does it say "Arrived" or does it say something else? Thank you!
 
I interviewed at UoP and UW coming right out of school, and didn't receive any invites 2 years into private practice. Feels bad, man :-(
