    Hi everybody,

I was wondering if anyone knew whether we need a laptop computer for KCOM. I know we can link up in the classrooms, but are we required to use MACs? I'm planning to buy one soon. Just wanted to know what might work best.

Hey Doogie. Looking forward to meeting you and everyone else at KCOM this fall. My understanding is that there are PC hookups in the classrooms. I don't think there were any two years ago but they should be in place by now. Definately check with KCOM about this to make sure. If so, get a PC. Whether or not it's a necessity depends on who you talk to. Some people surf the web during lectures so they'll probably say it's not necessary. It's definately convenient though. I guess it all comes down to whether or not you make the most of it. I plan on making the most of my PC.
