End of February? I wish they’d communicate this to us because I was told March and now I’m confused I guess we just have to be patient

I was told the beginning of February when I called. Understanding that this is a new school, I wish they would be consistent with information they are giving out to applicants. There is no transparency and no expected timeline for answers. Not for nothing but this is concerning to as an applicant and this lack of communication on their part is something that is quite the red-flag for a vet school.

A lot of vet schools have poor communication, its not just them. And the truth of the matter is that things change :/

Its probably not LIU as a whole, but people telling us things without total confirmation and agreement within the admissions committee.

At least LIJ has communicated and has open communication, Penn hasn’t spoken to me since September (for money ofc🫠) and other schools just send general automated email responses.

I have faith in them, they’re very friendly and disorganized yes but doing their best

Absolutely! My point is that instead of posting the information where it is easily accessible or sending out brief updates about where they are in the cycle, they have said and done nothing. They have been very kind absolutely but also clearly are disorganized to a concerning level to me personally. I hope they are working on finding a system they can execute more efficiently in the coming years

I agree, honestly LIU may be a mess but they really are responsive (to me at least) and one of the only schools that communicates with me. I try not to be too stressed since they are new so they will have some kinks in the admissions process, but I'd prefer this than being led on with no communication for months
 
What time did you guys get acceptance emails? And what letter does your last name start with just to see?
 
i just called didn’t get much information just that decisions would be sent later in the winter? so idk
 
I was informed during my interview that decisions would not be released until march? I assumed it would be all together but I guess they are changing it up

Yea I’m like royally confused and very anxious now :/ I gave them some slack before but thats really uncool to tell us one thing and then do something entirely different.
 
Should I assume that if I interviewed and haven't received an acceptance that I am waitlisted?
 
Also, have all these acceptance emails been sent at the same exact time or have they been sporadic?
 
I’m OOS and got the acceptance email a little before 10 AM for those wondering!
 
just got ahold of someone from admissions and they said they don’t know if that was the only wave or if there will be more but she’s going to try to find out more information and call back

Only wave of what? Interviews or acceptances?
 
I interviewed on 01/16 so I’m assuming I’ll hear much later? Seeing acceptances makes me so happy, I bet it was the best surprise after hearing March for decisions congrats to those accepted!!!
 
I received my acceptance email this morning a little before 10am! I interviewed 1/16, hope this helps some of you!
 
my interview was 1/3 and i got my acceptance email at 9:47 EST. i’m oos and my last name starts with H!

I emailed them asking for clarification. If this was the only round of acceptances and if March is for waitlist / rejection decisions

Waiting on them to get back to me
 
Hopefully they get back to you soon! I’m a bit stressed now that people that interviewed at the same time as me are getting accepted and I heard nothing 🥲
